What will happen if one day artificial intelligence is created?
Q. If artificial intelligence is one day created, will it not pose a philosophical problem, because humans themselves are just biological intelligent creatures. If we make robots work for us, and use them as slaves, won't we be undermining their rights? Slavery is a wrong thing when applied to humans, but what about when it applies to robots? Hey, shine_radiantstar, I believe your statement of a soul to be false. We are complex organisms with great intellect that has come to be after about 3 million years of evolution. There is no such thing as a soul. On the other hand, AI which will be implemented in robots might not be perfect at first but it will also come to the stage we are in now and perhaps in a lot less time. Then it might also be… [cont.]

A. Excellent question! To give artificial intelligence is to give it a conscious. If it is offended by the fact that we use them for slavery then yes - it will be wrong. I dont think this is something we have to worry about right soon - however with the development of feelings within a non-organic being will this question truely come into play. To give an example - what if a human wants to be a slave and do someone's bidding with no compensation? Is this wrong? If the human is conscious and able to make his or her own desicions and are aware of what they are doing then - no ... i dont think it is wrong. When AI comes into play... (or at least a 'true AI') the AI will have a decision to make. Do you or do you not want to serve someone? If… [cont.]
