What is the difference between Italian and regular ice cream?
Q. I went to piccomolo yesterday for the first time and the Italian ice cream looked and tasted so different from the american stuff! But I couldn't find out what made it different.

Gelato, the original ice cream, was produced in a very crude manner, in a tub with ice and salt, stirred by hand. As this mixture froze with a slow-stirring motion, air wasn't likely to be whipped into the product. So where did the process change? We can trace the changes back to the American Industrial Revolution when machines were developed for the sole purpose of profit. At this time the continuous-freezer was developed. Where can I find Italian food?
Q. I am Italian and a lot of times I cannot find either original italian food products or ingredients around here. Anybody knows of a good (and inexpensive) website where I can order italian stuff? Mary, believe me, I have a hard time surviving w/o my italian food too!! I wish I lived closer to you, but I don't!!

A. A brilliant centrepiece is one that looks good but also can be used in the meal and taken away as gifts. I saw recently small potted herbs (simple cheap terracotta pots painted gold with little hers planted in them, really cheap, but 3 different types of herbs from nursery, plant in little 10cm pots and paint pot or wrap in pretty paper), this add great scent, look and an additive to the meal. put small chocolate around the base
