A. check with a couple of local banks, credit union, look on the bulletin board at the local cafe. Drive around til you see something you are interested in, get the address, go to the county assessor's office and find who owns the property. As a last resort, you could call a realtor.

Does anyone know anything about a Jefferson County, MO family Court Judge Richard Warner?
Q. We are filing for custody of our granddaughter (she's thirteen and wants desparately to get away from her abusive father). We don't know how, but in the first case, the original judge allowed her father, knowing that he was abusive and was alcholic, to have sole custody of her. We are hoping now that she is thirteen and that we have a new judge that we will have better luck. Please, if you have heard of him, let us know what you've heard.

A. Im not sure about the laws in MO.. but in California at 12 they will usually let the minor decide where they want to live, but they will probably want you to go mediation first... I fought for my son and finally got him when he was 12 because he wanted to live with me. If her father is abusive I would be on the phone with cps, and/or child abuse hotlines. They can help you get imediate action so she is safe until you go to court and start a record which would help you in court.

A. This is really NOT good... Depending on how the trial goes and if this person has any prior convictions... Off the top of my head guess for guilty on all 3 counts would be around 3 to 15 years EDIT: Noticed the one was a B Felony and not a C... Guilty on all counts would be more along the lined of 8 to 20 years. Good Luck

A. Just file yourself. After 7 years you must've set up separate residences so I can't imagine there's much property to split. Just tell the judge you want what's in your residence and he can have what's in his residence and then it's over.

A. You can go to one of those cheesy title places and get a title loan or a pay day loan but again, those are pretty cheesy. You can get a loan from any bank regardless if you have an account with them or not. I've done it before. Or what I would do is save some money, get a thousand dollars together, tell them that you will drop the money into a year cd or something if they give you a loan today for a thousand dollars. Take that thousand to another bank, do the same thing, then take that thousand to a bank and do the same. Then you have three thousand dollars in a day and pay off the three loans. That builds your credit tremendously and you've got three thousand cash that day and another three thousand sitting in the bank drawing… [cont.]

parents, children, and internet monitoring ?
Q. Good morning. The latest breaking news in the case of the MO teen who dug 2 graves, and premeditated the murder of her 9-year old neighbor: jefferson city, Mo. On an Internet site, 15-year-old Alyssa Bustamante listed her hobbies as "killing people" and "cutting." It may have sounded like a teenage exaggeration, but authorities say she fulfilled her words. Even as new details emerge about the teenager charged with killing 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten, many facts about the crime continued to be kept secret Thursday and may never be released by authorities unless Bustamante goes to trial for murder. Bustamante, who had been in juvenile custody since leading police to Elizabeth's body Oct. 23, was certified Wednesday as an adult and… [cont.]

A. Yes I think kids should have their internet activity monitored. I peak over my daughters shoulder, check the history, sit with her etc while she is on the internet. She understands that I will always do so and that shouldn't be doing things anyway on the internet that she wouldn't want me and the whole world to know and see. *Every news story I've read so far suggests that this kid had some big time psychological issues. Not only should her internet usage been monitored but she should have been watched around her brothers and other kids, in counseling and constantly supervised. especially since she tried to commit suicide in the past. That's a freaking no brainer to me. Why wasn't it to her grandma and mom?
