Do Kumon centers hire instructors as employees, or do you have to buy a franchise? Q. Do Kumon centers hire instructors as employees, or do you have to buy a franchise? Asked by Bfract - Sat May 2 19:37:51 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Usually the only way to become an instructor is to buy into the franchise. You still have to go through all of the training and everything. However, there may be some cases in which you can take over a center. But I am sure that you would have to be able to show them that you have the financial background. Kumon does hire people to work for their company, but you would not be in a center. I hated how they timed you, etc. I hated the homework they made you take home.. but then again, I was only 11. I'm 23 now. It did hlep. I was really poor in math, and the whole summer I was doing Kumon...and when I went into my next year at school, I got the highest mark on the math test. It really helped with making me think quicker and just with basic times tables and divison. I just knew off the top of my head.. and all that basically helped when I had to take harder math programs. I dunno. I hated it, but as I got older I realized how much it helped. Answered by Caroline M - Wed Jul 11 13:53:04 2007 Am I on the right track to get accepted into a prestigious university? (Currently a Fishie in High School)?
Q. Yeah, I am still a freshman in high school but the year is almost over and I looking back, I don't think I have done much, so I was wondering about any tips/stuff I should do. I'm Secretary of my Spanish Club, in FPS (future problem solvers) and qualified for state, I'm also in band, and Academic Decathlon. However, our AcaDec team isn't good b/c we're a first year high school and I'm in an okish chair in band (Top band though but our high school has only 9th and 10th graders, I didn't make freshman nor region band.) I also go to Chinese school but I absolutely SUCK at it and I take dance but I'm ok at that. I'm also in Kumon but I'm only on level i, but hopefully I can finish the math program in a year and become a kumon instructor which… [cont.] Asked by Lilac Green - Tue Apr 1 00:46:03 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. First you look as though you are doing just fine to me. Without doubt the best way to get into a 'prestigious' college is to target a few of them and do what they require to get n. You see what colleges want varies so much from college to college a scatter gun approach of simply doing a ton of AP, sat coaching, and heaps of extracurriculars is counterproductive and likely to lead to sub optimal results for both you and the school. For example Pitzer, a quite prestigious school, doesn't use SATs, but the equally prestigious Carleton does - and quite high ones are required there. While the chances of getting into any particular prestigious school may not be great, if you apply to a few then the chances of getting into at least one goes… [cont.] Answered by Bill - Tue Apr 1 01:02:56 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "kumon instructor" |
