What does it mean if I have a high 1,25 OH vitamin D level?
Q. It was 85.4 in a recent blood test. Would this cause any symptoms? My parathyroid hormone (PTH) fluctuates between being too high and too low. I also sometimes have hypercalcemia. My 25 OH vitamin D is a little low at about 32.
Asked by Future Teacher - Sat Jul 11 20:59:49 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. 1,25 OH Vitamin D level means NOTHING. Remember 25OH Vitamin D level is what you should focus on. Your body utilizes 25 Hydroxy Vitamin D to convert them to 1, 25 Vitamin D when needed by Liver and Kidneys. If you have high levels of 1,25OH then it means that your body is converting 25 Vitamin D for a reason. Remember Vitamin D does so many things. Differetiates cells, acts as anti-inflammatory, it is also used to treat Lung infections like bronchitis, help you absorb calcium and magnesium. AND NO. I'm 100% sure that you do not have hypercalcemia. It only happens when your 25 Hydroxy Vitamin D level is over 150ng/ml and your calcium level is up. My 1,25 OH level is higher than yours and my 25 Hydroxy Vitamin D level is 71ng/ml. Far… [cont.]

So I just purchased the Level D 767 for fs9?
Q. And I also have fspassengers. Do I need to do anything, like fix the payload etc. to fly? Or can I just fly it already?
Asked by 8472263354 - Sun Jun 7 16:58:50 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You need to read the manual. The Level-D 767 behaves more or less like the real aircraft, which means that you have to learn all the aircraft systems and operating procedures for the real aircraft in order to competently fly the simulated version. Just getting the aircraft ready to taxi can take 20 minutes, even when you know the procedures. But if you want ultrarealism, now you've got it.

What does a college football walk-on work out consist of in the D-1A level?
Q. Is it combine based? Like, 40 yard dash time, position drills, broad jump, etc. Or, is it like the movie "Rudy" where you get to wear pads and show what you really got? Side Note: I think the Rudy approach is better because it gives coaches a better understanding on what a players athletic ability really is, versus the combine. i mean, even if you do run a 4.5 you could still suck.
Asked by Daniel - Wed Sep 17 19:36:08 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. i think they put u in football drills without pads. They have the combine like things prolly but they also prolly see how you can move laterally. If you can catch the ball. like spring and summer ball in high school.

I want to pursue a degree at the ph.d level, any ideas on how to pursue this, and pay for it for free?
Q. I want to pursue my Ph.D in a certain major, any helpful ideas on how I can get my degree cheap on the dollar, and any ideas on how I get A's in class instead of anything else.

A. Well, if you're a good student Ph.D programs will have you on a teaching stipend. Usually your tuition is paid for and you get a (very) small amount of money to teach a class every semester. Find an advisor with grant money--they'll often put you on a funded line. Also, check out the National Science Foundation (www.nsf.org). They offer fellowships for students entering grad. school. Once you're in graduate school try writing a pre-doctoral grant. It's harder to get funding in the humanities than it is in the sciences. Word of warning--getting a PhD is not for the faint of heart. It's several years of intense study, intense research, and very little money. Also, after you finish a PhD you may have to do a post-doc before you can… [cont.]
