Can I use a business management degree to get in to personal management or human resource management?

What is the exact term to the management's sinister move of promoting an employee then sack him later?
Q. A classic example is that the management want to rid a number of employees, probably a union members, but labor laws discouraged them to sack them outrightly. Now the management will promote them to a newly created section. If these employees take the bait, this section will be closed later with all conceivable justifications and they can no longer be re-assigned by the management since their previous positions have already been occupied. They normally happen because I've had too much coffee, stayed up too late etc, and being a mother I need to be responsible etc, so I'm quick to get on top of things. Q. Am I the only one tired of "questions" that are just a way of making a one-sided statement and then adding a question mark at the end? So here is a question that is not for or against any particular candidate. How important is height for a female in a management career?
Q. I am a petite, 5'3 100 pd. female. I've read articles that height is important if you are in high level management positions because people take you more seriously. I am considering entering a career in marketing, public relations, sales or business management. Am I going to have a hard time getting respect and authority if I am short and petite? Is height more important for men in management positions? As long as I'm intelligent and assertive, should my height matter? Can short, petite women still be successful in these types of careers?

So will you have a harder time than a tall woman, all other things being equal? The ridiculous answer is: probably yes. But the key is: all other things being equal. They never are. The only time it is truly necessary to have a degree is when you wish to be hired by an existing company that requires a degree, or when you wish to be credentialed for for some practice that requires a degree, such as medicine or engineering. The things you should get from the degree include business computing skills, business communication, a bit of human resources, possibly a good internship, and maybe some other things like marketing and job seeking skills. With a BA in HR, you would start as entry level management, but there's a large administrative component to it. I'm looking for a photo management service (or software) that allows me to take advantage of my web hosting plan so that I can use the 2GB of space I've paid for (as opposed to like 20MB of free hosting). Any suggestions on what would organize the photos and save me the HTML time? Thanks for your answers and sorry if the question is confusing!

A. yahoo is unlimited, flckr is a good service, but best when paid for pro, finally, i'd say check shutterfly.

Community Service Ideas with which I can practice Management skills?
Q. I am in a management class at a university. One of the assignment is to form a group with classmates and do some community service with which we can practice our management skills such as planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. We have 5 members in our team. Any good ideas?

A. Matching volunteers, including yourselves, to needs in your community would be a good way; most areas have nothing like a clearing house. for people or products. (Money-raising activities are, sorry, a dime a dozen.) You could also volunteer with smaller community service agencies to trouble-shoot their logistical bottlenecks. A transportation system to get willing volunteers to the places that need their help is a need in most towns.

Where can I find anger management classes for kids in my area?
Q. I have a kid I work with that could use an anger management class. Something he could do by himself or with me, but in a group setting with other people, preferably other kids. Any ideas or resources? I guess I m looking for websites or phone numbers - someplace where I can find classes. I live in California; looking for something in or around the Sacramento area. Willing to travel a little bit.
