How can I prevent marks after getting rid of acne?
Q. Everytime I pop a pimple, even following the procedures to "correct" style of popping it to prevent scars and whatnot, I still get a small mark on my face that was the same size of the pimple. How can i prevent getting that mark? The marks last for quite a while too... And to those of you who say you dont pop pimples. You do... you wait till the white goo is at the top. Then use a sterilized needle and poke a hole and clean with a clean paper towel.

A. Don't pop them..thats how you get the mark.you are damaging your skin when you do that. Green wintergreen rubbing alochol, pour a bit on a tissue and wipe your face..you will see the tissue become very dirty. Do it every morning and every night before bed. This is one of those tricks that no one ever knows..The best part..the bottle is usually about 89 cents... I find it at vons or walgreens. My husband had bad acne and he went to the dermatoligist and tried everything but this works and he is perfectly clear.

A. Strivectin is expensive but no guarantee. Use Bio-oil.It is much cheaper and there are hundred of testimonial to show that it works on stretch marks. Your last question...i dun think it is dead skin.If it is,then it is very easy to be peeled off.But you have to apply treatment that take weeks or months to be able to see the results

How do I clean white marks from a black sofa?
Q. I have a 100% cotton sofa which is black. It is constantly getting marked on the arms and backs by white "tide" marks caused by dust, fluff, skin contact etc. I don't want to wash the covers weekly, but I can't find anything that will shift the marks - I've tried brushing, water, washing up liquid etc, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

How can I fade and reduce stretch marks?
Q. I was very overweight as a teenager. As a result my entire upper body (chest, stomach, sides, and back) is covered in stretch marks. I have lost most of that weight but the stretch marks remain. Are there any creams or topical solutions that can help fade and minimize these stretch marks? I hope someone has some good advice. These stretch marks are embarrassing and very unattractive. Thanks. Also, the less expensive but more effective method is what I would like to find. Thanks to everyone who has helped.

A. i'm overweight and have stretchmarks as well. i heard that applying pure vitamin e oil help get rid of/reduce the look of stretchmarks You can either buy the vitamin e pills and pop them open, or what i did: i went to target and bought a bottle of origin soothing vitamin E oil. It's about $4 where i live (california). Everyday after a shower, i would rub a couple droplets onto the areas. Not only will it make your skin irresistably smooth, you'll also notice within a few days that the stretchmarks are slightly fading off. It'll take a while for them to completely disappear (for me, it took about 2 months to notice a huge difference), but it's an efficient way to lighten your stretchmarks.

A. Zit Prevention Plan Preventing zits...Steps to stop the eruptions Here are some tips on reducing and preventing zits. But remember, even if you practice good hygiene and have healthy eating habits, chances are you'll break out at some point. It's normal. 1. Wash Wash your skin morning and night with a gentle cleanser that cleans your pores without drying your skin (don't use grainy, harsh scrubs since these can actually cause acne). i recommend you use neutragena pink grape fruit oil free acne wash. 2. T-zone Some areas of your face, like your forehead, nose, and chin (often called the T-zone because it's shaped like the letter T) might be oilier than the rest of your face. So treat it differently: wash it with a non-oily cleanser.… [cont.]

A. Use a "magic eraser" ( no pun intended ) You can find them in the cleaning aisle at your grocery store. It's about the size of a regular sponge and it will clean almost anything. just wet it and scrub the marks right off.!

How to lessen the appearance of stretch marks?
Q. Is it possible to lessen to appearance of stretch marks? I have put on a lot of weight recently and I have got purple (very noticeable) stretch marks on my hips and thighs...I read that Boil Oil works but then I read somewhere else that it doesn't. I know that you can *prevent* stretch marks and once they are there, they are there for good, but is there anything that works to make them change to the silvery colour that they go to after a while? I am really body concious now that I have got them. Thanks!

A. I've always heard good reports about Bio Oil. that's what i was going to recommend when i saw the title of your question. put it this way, it stands as good a chance, if not better, of improving the appearance of your stretch marks as something like vitamin cream would. if i were u i'd give it a try. when i was pregnant i used coco butter cream - and i still got stretchmarks... i wish i'd tried bio oil.

What is the best way to remove pencil marks from fleece without washing it in a washing machine?
Q. When I was finding the middle of a measured piece of fleece, I marked on it with pencil. I realized that the side I was marking on was the "good side," so I flipped it over and did the same thing on the other side. Now the marks on the "good side" show, and I can't erase them! The final product is already made, so I can't wash the fleece in the washing machine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I think they were here before we moved in but I would like to try and remove them. Obviously I cannot do anything like sanding or anything as it is not my flat and I cannot afford to buy a sander but is there any method or product that I can used to take out the water marks. The floors are unsealed and this makes a big difference. Thanks!

How can I eliminate the look of stretch marks?

I work out an hour a day and lost my pregnancy weight over 8 months time (so skin won't become streched from losing to fast). The marks have faded tremoudously since I had the baby, but there are still there and I am very self concious about them. I am looking to get pregnant again and afraid that my stomache will only get worse. Any info on a good stretch mark fading cream?
Asked by happynay - Sun Nov 5 00:31:07 2006 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Your very best bet is to go see a physician or a dermatologist and ask what they would recommend for this problem. I think they have some type of prescription for stretch marks. There's also a stretch mark cream by Sally Hansen and various lotions and creams by Palmer's. You can find these at most drug stores and places like Target, Wal-Mart, and Meijer's.

Asked by Black Orchid - Tue Nov 13 15:18:13 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. To get "marks" out of material you really need to know what caused them. Have you tried putting the coat through a dry cleaner? If it's a grass stain try treacle? (Yeh it really works. 20 years of playing cricket and smearing a well known brand of Golden Syrup over a grass stain on white trousers works!). Stains need a solvent to remove them.

How did you prevent your stretch marks during pregnancy?
Q. I'm so afraid of getting stretch marks. I have been using bio oil & cocoa butter twice a day. Any tips on anything else to use or do to prevent stretch marks. I heard that genetics has a lot to do with it. Thanks!
Asked by Kim B - Fri Sep 19 16:21:05 2008 - - 14 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Stretch marks has almost everything to do with genetics! When I was pregnant I drank 10-12 cups of water per day (I was pregnant mostly during the summer), I took my prenatals and had a pretty healthy and well-balanced diet, I took vitamin E pills, I used stretch mark prevention cream, cocoa butter and olive oil! I tried everything I could to prevent stretch marks! I thought I was home-free, but once I hit 36/37 weeks, BAM! They came and they came freely until the very end! But you should still try to prevent them by staying healthy, hydrated, moisturized, and not gaining any more weight then is recommended. Maybe it can help to at least minimize any possible stretch marks. Or... Maybe you'll be one of the lucky few who never get them. : [cont.]

All my sisters have had babies and their tummies have really suffered from stretch marks. I am in my late twenties and i want to ensure that should my body change or should i become pregnant, that i don't suffer the same. I would appreciate any advice or product i could use at this stage to prevent rather than treat. I know bio oil can be good. Any other ideas?
