A. Well since it's a job mainly based on customer service, a lot of it will not be so much about your answers to the questions, it will be about you body language and personality. As a waiter you will be representing the hotel, and so they're going to want to make sure that you have a good personality and good verbal skills. They will probably also ask you questions about how you handle difficult situations since you may have to deal with upset costumers on occasion. The main thing is just to be yourself. They will be able to tell if you are trying to hard. Good Luck!

A. I've nver stayed at the Marriot Mag Mile, but my parents ahve, and they haven't complained. I've found that most downtown Chicago Hotel rooms are smaller than expected. Just last weekend, I stayed at a new hotel for me, the Chicago City Center Hotel and Athletic Club. it used to be a Holiday inn, so the rooms still have that feel. i thought the hotel was great! Indoor and Outdoor pool, good vies and great location. The rooms (we had two double beds) had space to move around, and had a chair and window seat. I think it is about 6 blokcs from the Marriot, closer to Navy Pier. You could also check out Tripadvisor.com for more ideas and reivews.

Free or Inexpensive Parking Near Philadelphia Marriott Downtown Hotel?
Q. I am driving down to Philadelphia Saturday and staying at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, located at 1201 Market Street. The Marriott website says that parking at the hotel is 41.40 per day?! Can I park on the streets in the area for free or can anyone tell me where there are inexpensive parking lots (municipal or otherwise) nearby? Thanks for the great answers I've received so far. I know that the hotel is downtown and may have to pay for parking, but $41? I am from New York City and even most of the downtown lots do not approach that price!

A. I usually park at the nearby college garages (like Hannemann Medical School) for $6 or $7 and park on the street when the meters become free. Much cheaper than $26 a day and the only hassle is moving the car from the street to garage and vice versa if one's schedule allows for it. Sundays are free.

Q. I'll be staying at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center in July. Are there any sidewalk cafes within walking distance? I also would like to ride on the double decker bus that takes you to all the tourist attractions. Is there a stop for that bus close? Thanks for the help.

I looked at the reviews on tripadvisor.com, and many of them indicated that there are good eating establishments within walking distance. There is a good website for the double decker buses - It looks to me like you may have to take the Metro to get to the starting point, but again, from the reviews I've read the Metro is easy to use, and there are two stops within a couple of blocks either direction out the front of the hotel. The guidebook "Fodor's See It Paris" 3rd Edition is where I got the double decker bus info. Our visit will be in November. Let me know how it goes. I hope this was helpful. D.

At the bus station there's a board telling you the next bus for certain destinations. Look for the next bus to Wideopen. The 40, X44, X45 and 101 go there, but there's many more. You'll probably only have to wait five minutes. Ask the bus driver to let you off at the racecourse. The Marriott hotel is just next door.

At a Marriott Hotel, if you book a "Senior Discounted Room" online, will you be asked for your ID at check-in?
Q. Will a Marriott employee ask for an ID upon check-in if you reserve your room online with the "Senior Discount?" My dad is 51 and wants to know if he will be asked for his ID. For the Downtown Toronto Courtyard, the non-Senior Discount price of the room is &170, while the Senior Price is $110. Do you have any past experiences?
