The metre or meter (from the Greek μέτρον /΄metron/) is a unit of proper length. It is the basic unit of length in the metric system and in the International System of Units (SI), used around the world for general and scientific purposes. Historically, the metre was defined by the French Academy of Sciences as the length between two marks on a platinum-iridium bar, which was designed to represent ⁄10,000,000 of the distance from the equator to the north pole through Paris. In 1983, it was redefined by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) as the distance travelled by light in free space in ⁄299,792,458 of a second. The symbol for metre is a lower case m. Decimal multiples and submultiples of the metre, such as kilometre (1000 metres) and centimetre (⁄100 metre), are indicated by adding SI prefixes to metre. This clematis is usually very vigorous and will grow much higher than a metre in any growing season (spring through summer into autumn). Use the UI when you wanna find whether the substance is acidic or alkaline or simply neutral at pH 7. Done by comparing the colour against the clour chart that came with the indicator. There are a few types of indicators so always use the correct colour chart. It's only a rough gauge to find out the pH of tt liquid. The pH meter, on the other hand, needs to be calibrated with 3 levels, i.e. with an acid, a base and distilled water. It can then be used to measure the exact pH of the liquid in question. It can also be used to adjust the pH of a liquid simply by adding an acid or a base to it, tiny drop by tiny drop!, and mixing well during measurement.
