What is the difference between the morning after pill and plan b?
Q. I've taken the morning after pill twice 5 years ago, and I remember feeling very, very sick and experiencing very excruciating stomach pains just hours after taking the pill, not to mention bleeding for up to two weeks thereafter. It is something I definitely do NOT want to experience again. However, I had sex last night and the condom leaked and I am afraid of getting pregnant. What is the difference between the morning after pill and plan b? Will plan b give me the same kind of pains as the morning after pill? Can anyone who has taken both of these pills share the experiences? Thanks in advance.

A. Plan B is the morning after pill.

Can morning glories be trained to grow down, instead of up?
Q. I have to put my morning glories in a planter on the railing of our porch, but there's nothing for them to climb. Could I train them to climb down the railings, instead of up?
Asked by z8mum - Sat Jun 21 15:40:10 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Regular morning glories don't like to trail very much. They will flop over, and then try to grow up on themselves. If your pot is large enough, then you might get several folds as it tries to do this multiple times, and it might look pretty. If you don't mind it growing up, but just don't have anything for it to climb on, a cheap solution would be to get a tall (dead & dry) bamboo stalk. Sand it good or hang strings from its nodes if it's too thick to twine around, and stick the bamboo in the center of your pot. It'll be ugly to start, but will prettify up soon. If you like morning glory, but really want it to hang down, Ipomoea pes-caprae will trail, as will ornamental sweet potato. Some convolvuluses will trail.

Every morning about ten minutes after a wake up I start coughing and Vomit?
Q. What could be wrong? I throw up just about every morning about ten minutes after I get up! Its not food it just like this clear whiteish fluid? Is it some kind of drainage?
Asked by Andy H - Tue May 6 15:33:41 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. if you are doing a lot of coughing first, are you sure the fluid is not from your LUNGS? you say nothing about stomach pain. if there's fluid accumulating in the lungs without having an acute infection, you could have congestive heart failure. This willl not kill you right now but it is not a joke. You should go see a doctor within a week so you can start treatment before it gets worse.

When does morning sickness typically start when you are pregnant?
Q. I am 5 weeks pregnant with my second, and so far have been feeling great. A little tired, but not too bad. With my first I had no morning sickness, just a loss of appetite that lasted my entire pregnancy. I didn't know I was pregnant last time until i was about 6 or 7 weeks (I actually got one period!). I was just wondering when the pregnancy symptoms usually start?
Asked by I LOVE my Thumbs-Down Fairy!!! - Mon Oct 20 14:32:05 2008 - - 14 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you are early in your pregnancy, you may be wondering when the morning sickness starts. Maybe never. But chances are good you will. Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms in early pregnancy for many women. Depending on the study, 50 to 75% of pregnant women suffer from morning sickness. Typically, morning sickness starts before the 6th week of pregnancy and peaks between 8 and 12 weeks. If morning sickness begins after 9 weeks of gestation, be sure to mention it to your doctor to make sure there are no other causes of nausea or vomiting. Anyways, when i was pregnant with my son, i didnt get morning sickness until the very end of my first trimester (for some odd reason), and i only got it around 2am... it didnt last a long time,… [cont.]

A. If she is already pregnant The morning after Pill will Not do anything, It says it right on the information you get with it. It only works before you get pregnant. All the morning pill is a high dose of birth control pills put into two pills. It wont cause a miscarriage and It wont harm the baby. If she thinks shes pregnant she should take a preg test

How early can morning sickness start in a pregancy?
Q. My wife for the last 2 days has woken up nauseated. We have a 2 year old, and this is par for the course based on her last time being pregnant. However, we have not taken a test, and her last cycle ended just about 3 weeks ago? Could this be morning sickness?
Asked by hendsbeex - Tue Sep 16 10:21:02 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yeah, it certainly could be! I started feeling sick at night (I'm 13 weeks and still I get "morning sickness" at night), about 1-1.5 weeks before my period was supposed to start. I'd recommend waiting about a week and then having her take a test, but it certainly sounds like she might be pregnant! Especially if the nausea is not accompanied by any other symptoms of a stomach bug and if it goes away later in the day.

A. Oatmeal. Also, if you have a piece of fruit between meals throughout the rest of the day, your metabolism will remain in gear, allowing you to burn more calories.

What should I feed my son in the morning before his cross country race?
Q. My son is running cross country for the first time this year. He is doing well with it. He is reluctant to eat in the morning before a race. What is optimal for him to do, the night before and the morning before a big race? He typically runs around 9:30 am on Saturday mornings.
Asked by Patricia R - Sat Oct 11 13:00:15 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. he needs lots of carbs the night before - PASTA is the best thing, maybe with a salad and bread. make sure he hydrates well the night before the race - lots of water! but don't chug it - have 4-6 sips every half hour. to tell if you're dehydrated, go to the bathroom. your pee should be clear. if its yellow, you're dehydrated and need water. (i know - gross right?) the morning of the race - make sure he eats! breakfast is the most important meal of the day and will give him energy for the race. i suggest a bagel. just don't eat right before the race. hope this helps!

What are causes of morning sickness besides pregnancy?
Q. I know I"m not pregnant, but these past few days, I haven't been able to keep food down in the morning. Could the recent death of my grandma be a possible cause?
Asked by TIFF - Wed Apr 16 11:36:44 2008 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Could be stress you're feeling from that tragic event. It could also be due to low blood pressure when you wake up, or even dehydration. Try drinking a small glass of water before you go to bed Personally, I've found that taking a multi-vitamin was making me sick everyday. I can't take vitamins in the morning, even with food, or I will be seeing it all again in about an hour. Maybe look at what you're eating as well. Do you eat late at night before going to bed...that could be contributing. I can't handle very large meals any time of the day, so in the morning, I'll get ready for the day first, then have a light yogurt. Then maybe a few hours later, I'll take a break and have a piece of fruit. This goes on throughout the day. … [cont.]

How can I improve my energy in the morning?
Q. I've recently turned to caffeine to improve my focus and attitude in the morning (mostly to improve performance at work). Is there a proven, natural way to create the same effect? When I'm talking to customers I want to be "on" instead of foggy and cranky. What can I do to become a "morning person"? It should be noted that even during periods when I eat well, excercise frequently, and get 8 hours of sleep, I still wake up with very low energy. Thanks in advance!

A. Maybe you aren't eating the *right* things for breakfast. Some carbs, a little bit of protein. I had the same problem as you and my doctor told me to eat slow metabolising foods to keep my energy going. Try eating within 15 to 30 minutes after waking up.

I love bagels in the morning, does anyone know of a healthy alternative?
Q. Bagels are normally fast fuel for me in the morning, less messy than cereal or a breakfast shake. Anyone have any kind of bagel alternative without the fat?

A. Just switch to whole grain bagels. Also, what you put on the bagel makes a big difference in nutritious content. Avoid cream cheese and sugary jams/jellies, instead try fat-free margarine. Other than that, enjoy your morning bagels and good luck :)

How to get rid of Morning Glory Flowers?
Q. I planted them a couple years along a wooden fence at the back of a cutting garden at my fathers house. Now he can't grow anything because the morning glories choke and smother everything... How do I get rid of them without harming the ability to plant flowers for cutting? I've tried weeding with a frenzy every couple of days - but there seems to be no end in sight. They are the blue, pink and purple type - not the little white kind that grow wild, if that makes a difference.

A. it really depends on where you live, but generally most insects are dormant until it warms up in the morning. It's best to water either very early in the morning (just before dawn) or after sunset when it is cool out. That way the water can soak in and reach the roots of the plants instead of evaporating in the heat and you will have less chance of encountering insects.

What's the difference between morning sickness and a hangover?
Q. I got very drunk last night. Apparently I had cybersex and now I'm pregnant with a cyberbaby. If it's morning sickness I should be cured in a couple of hours, right? But if it's a hangover, I'd better start eating asperines.

A. Well, if it's just a hangover, it will be gone by the end of the day. If you're pregnant, you'll have a robo-baby at the end of... (what's the gestation period for robots?) well at the end of whenever. And Barney's right about the brain cells. I'd invest in some extra memory sticks if I were you.
