Why is Sogo and Eurotel branded as motels when in fact they serve the same purpose with all the hotels all ove?

A. both hotels offer short time or so called wash up rates to their rooms. they offer anonymity when checking in. although the term motel has a diffferent connotation in other places in the world, in the philippines it is associated with prostitution and sex.

A. I've never been in a motel, but I heard that Victoria and Sogo are two of the decent ones that are not very expensive. I think they allow short term stays since they advertise for taxi rooms at rates less than Php200. There are also a lot that I have observed along EDSA, including one that is oddly enough, called "Mahal Kita". @_@

A. My husband and I spent a little less then 12 hours in the Motel SOGO Drive In, in Manila while we waited until time to go to the airport for my flight back to the US ... back on August 15, 2008. Being the odd person I am, I took photos of the Hotel Rooms we stayed in, which included the SOGO and their price list on the wall. Hope this helps some.
