When did mass murders on college campuses and work places start?
Q. I can only remember in the 1960s somewhere in Texas as the first time I ever heard of someone on a killing spree on campus. Why is this such an epidemic in the U.S. and abroad these days? Also, many husbands are killing their families and then themselves. What is going on?

A. The first postal shooting happened in Edmond, Oklahoma in 1986 by a disgruntled Vietnam vet who worked at the post office, he killed 14 and wounded 6 others. The Texas tower shooter had a brain tumor that might have contributed to his violent behavior. Many of the people who go on shooting sprees these days are taking anti-depressant medicines that may have some kind of effect on their brains and impulses, and watching violent video games and movies may help trigger it. Mental patients used to be locked up for years or decades and now they are being medicated and sent out to live in the public.
