How can I get over being nervous in front of a crowd?
Q. I'm extremely shy and somewhat insecure. I have to stand up in front of class for science class and I shake, tremble and don't do so well. I get extremely nervous. I have a big presentation coming up at the end of February - I really don't feel like being this nervous again. Any tips on not being nervous?

A. I am also shy n the reason behind that is lack of confidence and always worrying abt what other people would say. I just made a presentation in front of 40people fron 18 different countries. My first big presentation n I was nervous as hell. However, when I grabbed the mike, I became a little relaxed and the presentation went so smoothly that I didn't wanna stop talking. I was really amazed at my own ability and realized that I was worrying about thngs that really ddnt matter. 1. Practice your presentation in front of the mirror or record yourself. What model should I make for the peripheral nervous system?
Q. I have to make a working model of a part of the peripheral nervous system. The only requirements are that it must be small and must also be interactive (works in some way). Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should make?

A. yes make a parasimpatic on and a sympatic off of a salivary gland, when you turn the parasympatic on make it ooze something, when you turn the simpatic on make it stop. just an idea of the many things you could do

How do you calm yourself down when your nervous?

A. Get a good night's sleep the night before your presentation. As someone else said, eat a good breakfast. Breathe deeply, just before you start speaking. Remember, everyone else you are looking at is probably worrying about *their* presentation. Understand also, that 50 years from now, you'll never know the difference. (That was my Dad's favorite phrase to me, when I was nervous about speaking before a class. I went on to be a graduation speaker.) Be sure you have notes in front of you (if they are allowed.) Remember, it is only for a few minutes. And afterward, you will feel great. I wish you good luck on your presentation. You'll do great!
