I saw a story on the news about Suburban cab drivers picking up passengers at ohare airport and bringing them to hotels in the downtown loop, the story mentioned that it is illegal for suburban cab drivers to pick passengers up at Ohare and bring them downtown. I just asked the same question. i have not got a reply yet , but i have twin 10 month olds and they are getting into watching them too. i live on the northside and we went to a park in des plaines yesterday , you can see them kinda good there but i still would like to get closer. I DON'T remember what the park was called , it starts with an "A" AND IT'S by toughy and manheim. also there is a target and stuff on that corner. another good idea is to go to the "Cold stone" ice cream joint in that strip mall , you can get ice cream and watch the planes there too , they are real close there, we did that yesterday, the seemed like they hd fun.

What is Ohare's policy for sleeping there overnight?
Q. My international flight leaves at 6am and I'm not getting a hotel or driving from my house at 2am to Ohare. Can you stay in the airport entrance over night without having to check-in? There is no info at all on the airport's website on this issue.

A. I've always found it easy. The Blue Line (aka O'Hare-Congress) runs from O'Hare and it stops at two stations of interest: Jackson (at Dearborn) station is a busy, full service station in the middle of The Loop, and it's 8 blocks to Union Station. A. Rental cars are usually not purchased as "round trip". You will want a rental with considerable mileage (one way is ~800 miles). I know that Avis, for example allows you to return their rental cars to any Avis location (yes, there is one in Chicago and in Newark). Just check any mileage restrictions before you buy it.
