Nounparents SynonymsFrom Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. A parent is a mother or father; one who sires or gives birth to and/or nurtures and raises an offspring. The different roles of parents vary throughout the tree of life, and are especially complex in human culture. FatherMain article: FatherLike mothers, fathers may be categorised according to their biological, social or legal relationship with the child. Historically, the biological relationship paternity has been determinative of fatherhood. However, proof of paternity has been intrinsically problematic and so social rules often determined who would be regarded as a father e.g. the husband of the mother. Biological parents and parental testingThe term biological parent refers to a parent who is the biological mother or father of an individual. While an individual's parents are often also their biological parents, it is seldom used unless there is an explicit difference between who acted as a parent for that individual and the person from whom they inherit half of their genes. For example, a person whose father has remarried may call his new wife their stepmother and continue to refer to their mother normally, though someone who has had little or no contact with their biological mother may address their foster parent as their mother, and their biological mother as such, or perhaps by her first name. GNU Free Documentation License can the parents or parent get into any legal trouble if their child runs away? Q. First off no im not planning on running away nor is anyone I know. I was simply curious because I don't see how they can unless the child was forced out the home or living in a terrible environment(getting sexually abused and such). So can the parents get into trouble with the police or charged with anything if their child free willingly runs away? And if so what type of legal actions take place for the parents not the child. My SIM just grew into an adult and he needs to move out of his parent's place. His parents are elders and they will die soon. How can the son mourn his parents' grave if the parents r going to die in a different house? Asked by Sims 2 addict - Fri Aug 29 16:06:30 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. when his parents die there will be no one left in the house. you can move him out of his new home or get someone else to move in with him and when he moves back in his parents place he can have the graves in his inventory. if you really wanted to you could put the graves at his home. so his parents will always be with him. Q. Girls rarely get to direct their own sexual identity or development in our culture. Between the messages they get from the media, friends, parents and boys, it's amazing any of them leave adolescence unscathed. Unfortunately, though, many don't. So what can parents do to protect their girls? How can they help girls navigate their way through these messages, and still somehow stay true to the girls' own desires? How can they still get to date, without getting too sexually involved? Thank you so much on behalf on me and my daughter! Asked by Emily - Tue Sep 30 18:21:09 2008 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments A. First, ensure that they know to take care of themselves. Teach then how to make sure no one does anything they don't want them to do. RAD courses are something I would recommend. There are too many sickos out there. Even at my age, I worry when I go out the door and am terrified for my daughter. Ensure she always has enough change for a payphone in her purse. If her cell gets stolen, she'll need a way to call you. Always make sure she has enough change to make a call if she needs to.
