A. The way the sentence is written, it is confusing at best. It leads the reader to tie the phrase "lazily sailing across the sky" with the sentence's subject, "the sun." Since the sun is not sailing across the sky in this scenario, how about changing the sentence to: "The sun, now shining brightly, reveals punctures in the clouds as they sail lazily across the sky."
