How can I get better at understanding patients with disablities and speech impairments?
Q. I just got a new job at a facility for people with cerebral palsy, muscle dystrophy, etc. Most of the patients are non-verbal and the rest have speech impairments. I am having a really hard time trying to understand what they are trying to communicate to me. Does anyone have any advice that will help me understand them better?

Explain to them that you are… [cont.]
