How long can a person who violated parole be held in a jail in another jurisdiction?
Q. If a person is on parole because he or she committed a crime away from home (in another state) and is allowed to go live back at home after being released and is under the supervision of their town's (or state's) jurisdiction; If that person violates parole and is picked up by the local police how long does the other state have to pick the person up before the jail will release him or her?

A. Okay... I will try and answer this as well as I can... If you are on parole, generally speaking you need to get permission to leave the state and or to move out of state or you are violating parole then and there... if you have ANY police contact, whether it be an arrest or simple questioning you are supposed to report that to your parole officer as well... again if you fail to do so you are violating your parole... So in the case that you are arrested out of state, you will stay in the county jail of the state that you are arrested in and the state you are on parole in will file paperwork to have them extradited... They will NOT release them if they have been arrested and being detained until cleared by the parole department in the… [cont.]

What do you think of a person who judges others on the basis of how good they are to them?
Q. In other words, I was told about a psychiatric classification about a person who thinks that another person is only as good as how they treat them, and disregard the rest of their characteristics. For example: If you don't treat me well, then you're not a good person. If you treat me well, you're a good person. Does anyone know?

A. I think that a person who judges others on the basis of how good they are treated by that person is just an average person. If I treat you badly, it shows that I have no self control, poor manners, etc. If you judge me as a bad person it would be because I have just shown you that I am not a good person.
