What pieces for piano would make good audition pieces for universities?
Q. I play piano, and I love music. I would like to study music and university and I will be applying this october/november. I think my auditions will be between november, through to early 2010. Some places ask for two contrasting pieces, and others for three contrasting pieces. If there are any pieces that you could recommend, or if you have experience of adjudicating auditions in the past and have any advice, please submit an answer! Thank you in advance! :)

A. Play something sick like Flight of the Bumblebee, then break into something slower like Beethoven's Fur Elise. For a third contrasting piece...something jazzy? Body & Soul maybe?

What are the pieces of the pie of total wellness?
Q. I am in 9th grade health and tomorrow we have a graded classs discussion. I am taking notes on the questions he already gave to us, and one of them mentions the pie of total wellness. I remember going over this in class, but i can't remember all the pieces of the pie. The ones I do remember are spiritual, mental, and physical. Let me know ASAP if you know whta the other two are. A. I have no idea what you covered in class but I think the basis for health would be spiritually. Rather you have to be religious or not is besides the point but having a sense of purpose, etc. Sorry I can't think of any other pieces to your pie. sorry, didn't notice you said Spiritual already : ( Uh, is Social a part of the pie? And economic?

How do I get fondant pieces to stick to the side of a cake made with buttercream icing?
Q. I am making a baby shower cake and will have flowers and butterflies on the sides but I dont like the way fondat tastes so I am using buttercream icing to ice the cake and the fondant for the decorations. I have never stuck fondant pieces to buttercream ( on the side). How do I do this?

A. It would be better to make your decorations out of gum paste - rather than fondant. Depending on how large the pieces are, you may need to insert two toothpicks into the pieces. Let them dry then stick it on the cake. If you already cut out the fondant pieces, see if you can use a small ball of fondant on the back to attach a toothpick to the piece, then stick the toothpicks into the cake.
