What are some best practices to deal with procrastination?
Q. Specifically, if you've become so used to being hectic, how do you manage things when you suddenly have only 1 or 2 things to manage and you do not feel as strong an urge to work on those? Any best practices?
Asked by Discover7 - Thu Jun 22 03:15:52 2006 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Well, I being the queen of procrastination, know that if I set up mini goals for myself I am more likely to accomplish a task I don't want to do. For example, if it's something like reading...I say to myself- "Ok read for 1 hour, then put it away, for 20 minutes of so and then read for another hour." This way I get some work done for sure and still get to dillydally and waste time.

What should I on the night before cross country practices in the morning?
Q. Practices are in the morning, at 9, so I don't want to eat THAT much, even a hour before practice. So, what should I eat the nights before? Pasta? Carbs? And we have hard practices.. lol 8-10 miles with hills, yeah it seems easy for me, but I run in the evening, i'm not so used to running in the morning.

A. For some people, it doesnt really matter what yo eat. Before the practices start you should experiment with your body. Go on a morning jog and see how you feel with different foods. You'll probably feel better with light foods like a fruit or cereal. Oh, and NOT oatmeal, for me that just sits in my system like a brick. I run regularly in the morning at 8-9, and just have a banana or a bowl of cereal. Just something small. And then after the run (which ranges from 4 to 8 miles for me) I eat a good nice breakfast.

What are the most important practices of religion that make it a unifier of society? ?
Q. What are the most important practices of religion that make it a unifier of society?
Asked by buwi - Mon Oct 6 01:33:23 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The religions that I know about do not unify society. Rather their holier than thou attitudes drive them apart and have fomented divisions and wars for centuries between differing superstitions. Even different sects of the same general religion can not agree. Most of the religions ABOUT Jesus are very Judgmental and have incorporated all sorts of myths and power structures into their belief system. They talk the talk. Whereas the religion OF Jesus is completely loving and kind to both friend and enemy. Never makes judgments. Sees God in fellow man. Always tries to cooperate and help, not compete. They walk the talk.
