A. It's a myth. Pregnant women take them for their babies. It's also noted that their hair tends to grow faster. People just assume this to be because of the vitamins. It's actually because of the increase of certain hormones that their hair grows faster, not because of the vitamins. Biotin, which is in prenatal pills, is a B vitamin that supposedly makes your hair grow faster. This is not entirely accurate. It helps your hair grow stronger and healthier and a very tiny amount faster, but not really THAT big of a difference. This is what hair, skin and nail pills primarily contain. What you really need to do is stimulate the blood vessels on your scalp. You can do this by giving your scalp daily massages, massaging in a few drops of… [cont.]
