I can not find detailed information on the internet so thought I would come here to see if anyone can help me. The meat needs to be processed today so any immediate help would be greatly appreciated. How many Payment Processing services for a merchant account?
Q. How many payment processing options should a merchant account provider offer to the merchants? Is credit/debit card processing good enough or should other payment options like Ach processing, direct debit etc should also be provided?
Asked by fReeSpiRit - Tue Aug 14 01:26:07 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Well, it is better to have all the possible payment processing methods available namely; credit card, debit card, check, electronic check, and wire transfer. If you can offer all of these, then, you can cater to all the needs of merchants. I also, suggest that you offer unlimited volume transaction so you can cater to high volume businesses. Ideally, you've got to offer five.

A. Do some background research on your prospective credit card processing company. Ask people. Call fellow merchants and ask for their feedback. Most of all, try to get in touch with your Better Business Bureau office and get as much information as you can. If you want to read more, visit the link below.

What are some of the hidden credit card processing surcharges I need to know?
Q. I just got my first credit card processing monthly statement bill and it was way up high than I expected. I scrutinized the items and I discover I incurred surcharges. What are some of the hidden surcharges I need to know?
Asked by Eleanor - Thu Aug 16 23:10:10 2007 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Check the contract you signed. There should be a schedule of your rates and fees attached. You need to call your credit card processor's customer service number and have them review your statement with you in detail to make sure you were charged correctly. The main reason most merchants pay more than they expect is because they expect to be charged the rate quoted. That only happens when the transaction is "qualified". That means that the transaction is swiped and reads in the machine and the card itself is not subject to surcharges, such as an airline mileage card in some cases. If the magnetic stripe doesn't read or it is a phone order and you have to key the card number the transaction downgrades and surcharges apply. That is… [cont.]

A. Not sure what you mean .. the definition of 'paper free' implies 'electronic (scanned) image' which in turn implies some sort of 'image management' system ... There are hundreds of DIMS offerings .. they go by different names depending on the 'focus' and how well integrated they are with MS Office etc .. for example, some focus on simple work-flow by the passing of 'links' via your existing email system, whilst others are complete 'suites' of software with their own private (proprietary) 'repositories' (archives & on-line databases) and require you to install specialist applications on every users PC (so they can impose Security and Audit Trails). .. Unless you are a very large organisation, I would suggest going for a simple 'off-the-she [cont.]

A. Do not lease credit card equipment or software it is a complete rip off. Buy it or get it for free. FREE equipment NO application fee NO start up cost NO annual fee Low or NO monthly minimum Low discount rate Low transaction fee- (batch fee it is also called) FREE training for you and all your employees. Length of time you are paid in your account. Also beware on websites that do not post their discount rates and transaction fees. And no phone numbers to call them. This is because they give different people different quotes, and don't want people to call the company.Very sneaky companies do that. I have done tons of research on this. Read ALL contracts before you sign them.Protect you and your business.Don't just go by what someone tells… [cont.]

Is it possible to employ the processing power of multiple computers in a home?
Q. I was wondering if anyone has tried to use the processing power of two or more units to form a mini "super computer" at home , a model that can prove useful when dealing with complex video editing & demanding applications ? I tried to look up the concept of distributed processing and came across nothing applicable for home use. Thanks.
Asked by Tarantino My Day - Thu Jul 24 04:30:28 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It's not likely that you'll see this anytime soon. Each individual software program would have to be rewritten to distribute the work. And, for example, Adobe isn't gonna spend the money to rewrite Photoshop to do this without seeing any demand for it.

Why do I get charged a dollar processing fee for using my debit card?
Q. I have a debit card that I use a lot, and I've noticed that on my online banking that certain places are charging me $1.00 processing fee. What is that and why do they charge me this fee? Should I always choose credit instead of debit so I don't have to pay the processing fee? I get it alot at gas stations and a few other places.
Asked by lily325 - Wed Jan 21 11:08:46 2009 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Processing fees are allowed for a bank debit card for any place outside of the cards network. So you can read the fine print on the cards agreement to find out who is allowed to do that and or apply for a mutual credit/debit card. (debit card w/Visa stamped right on it) or just use a credit card. Also, if you get a cash advance or buy lottery tickets they will charge you $10 for a cash advance fee.

Q. I'm already on residence visa and the papers have submitted to Ministry of Labour for my Labour Contract. How long is the processing as I need to sponsor my mother-in-law for residence visa, this Labour Contract is a requirement and is a 1 bedroom hall apartment enough as a tenancy contract is also required. A. You have several issues here: 1. it takes about 3 weeks to a month. 2. sponsering your mother in law is not easy, you have to prove that you are her sole supporter to do that. 3. 1 bedroom is enough for sponsering your wife and baby, but recently there has been a change in regulations and now you can't get anyone on a visit visa unless you have at least 2 bedrooms (my cousin's husband could'nt get his mother for a visit until he rented a 2-bd apartment.

What are the signs of a poor echeck processing service?
Q. I would like to set up an online store where I can accept credit cards and electronic checks. Right now I am looking for an echeck processing service. What are the signs of a poor echeck processing provider so that I can avoid it ?
Asked by Paul - Thu Sep 6 00:22:41 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think high rates and charges are one of the obvious signs of a poor echeck processing provider. Their sales people pressure you into subscribing to the service with their glib talks. You better compare echeck processing companies before making a choice. Also, examine the software and try a demo. If it is intuitive and easy to understand, then you can make a decision. Why don't you read the article that addresses your question? Just click or visit the link below.
