What professional sports record do you think will stand for all of time?
Q. Any professional sport is fine if you know the records. It could be single-season record, career record, or single-game/event record. I think the 56-game hitting streak of Joe DiMaggio may stand for all of time. Also, Barry Bonds 73 HR season in 2001 also will stand (because performance-enhancing drugs won't be used in the future).

A. Johny Van Der Meer's back to back no hitters for a person to do this they would have to throw 3 no hitters in a row

What professional clothing can I wear in the heat?
Q. I'm walking all over the city today soliciting grocery stores for a non-profit group. Obviously I want to look professional while doing this but the problem is it's supposed to be a sunny, hot, humid day (85F). Would it be acceptable to wear a sleeveless top with a knee length skirt? Any other tips to help me look polished without suffering in the heat? Thanks everyone.

A. Keep it cotton. Cotton breathes the most and is lightweight. You can look completely professional in a cotton blouse and skirt. Unfortunately to look professional hose are going to be a must. I always keep on hand those thigh high hose on hand that stay up by themselves. Trust me...they are much cooler.

A. you can look online and see if there's a company that provides professional organizers as a service. and then contact them and ask them for some of their time to meet or talk with you about what it takes to be one.

Always listen to what they have to say before you answer. Requests from your boss should be answered promptly with an outline how long it will take you to get the job done and preferrably answered "consider it done". Don't complain, never engage in office gossip. Stay polite but aloof to people that work under you. Especially when you are in a manager position. How long does it take professional singers to warm up their voices before a perfomance?
Q. I'm no professional, but I'll have to sing for around 15 minutes before I can get my pitch right. Then I'm good to go. Can most professionals sing with no warning, or do they have to warm up?

A. Nooo, they have to warm up. Any singing without a warm up can lead to vocal damage. and warming up doesn't mean going over the song a few times until you get the pitch right. you need to go slowly, work on scales and such or you can really hurt your voice. you might not notice it right away but it can develope in laryngitis, which can permanently alter the sound of your voice. i have friends who performed regularily without warming up or people who continued to perform after they're hurt their voice and it really damaged them vocally and emotionally. I myself got laryngitis from singing too hard for too long and it's been 3 months now and my throat still aches all the time and i can't hit some of the notes i used to be able to hit. My… [cont.]

A. The biggest thing is to practice as much as possible and get yourself out there. Taking classes in various types of dance is important to find what you are good at and gain skill. But after that, a lot of it has to do with natural skill (not everyone can be a dancer) and motivation. It is a lot of hard work, as you spend hours practicing and have to regularly audition (to get your name out there and start performing). While I was trained in various dance forms, I currently choreograph and so I tend to make new moves and use different styles in my work, and I don't always use classically trained dancers because sometimes the best dancers are those who have the natural talent and had the motivation to learn on their own and keep trying. A. Theres absolutely no difference at all. Veterinarians will offer teeth scraping (which actually will remove all of the plaque). And tooth brushing will not remove plaque on the teeth, it is merely a surface cleaning and you can do the very same at home.

What makes a professional MiniDV tape any different from a consumer level MiniDV tape?
Q. As above, I noticed that professional are more expensive than the standard consumer level MinDV cassettes. Alright, so what makes that mighty difference? Secondly, would there be any point investing in these more expensive cassettes for a consumer-cum-prosumer?

A. If you are referring to the "special" HD tapes, the oxide formulation and binding agents are different. But a decent miniDV tape - like the Sony "Premium" tapes at about $3 each (Frys has 8-packs for $24.99 and tapestockonline sells them cheaper in quantities) - and don't re-use the tapes, and you'll be fine. I've been using them for 5+ years and have not had a problem.

A. Occupational therapist Physiotherapist Speech & language therapist Disability support worker Behavioural therapist Educational psychologist Teachers aides Residential worker/House Parents Social Workers Social Work Assistants Counselors Welfare Officers Health Care Attendants Home Care Workers Therapy Aides All of the above work with people with disabilities, I think I may have forgotten a few. The qualifications can vary from country to country. In most cases their would be at lest a 2-6 year course, earning either a diploma or degree. You will need to speak with the educational/training bodies, to see what is required.

Q. In the last several years, I have been working in this field and I think I would prefer to stay in it. I just want a change. Right now, I am a special ed teacher (my students have mild learning disabilities and speech impairments). I want to explore other options possibly in a supervisory or professional nature and outside of the school environment? What qualifications and education are needed?

What percentage of professional actors laugh due to stage fright?
Q. I've always wondered how much stage fright causes a professional actor to get a case of the giggles.
Asked by thebostonredhead - Sat Sep 29 00:54:07 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Symptoms of stage fright include: * A general feeling of anxiety before, or during, the beginning of a speech or presentation. * Cold hands, sweating hands, or shaky hands. * Dry mouth. * Fast pulse. * Nausea. * Rapid Breathing * Shaky knees. * Tight throat. * Trembling lips. Laughing usually occurs when they flub their lines or stumble, etc. and is not a symptom of stage fright.

Can I do payroll from Quickbooks Professional? What's the difference between that and Quickbooks Payroll?
Q. It seems that the professional edition has everything you need to do payroll - am I wrong? Also, on additional note, do I need any other Quicken software other then professional services for a law firm?

A. Payroll is a module that is embedded in QB Pro. It has a rather simple time and billing module, look at it carefully to make sure it does what you need it to do, kinda depends upon the size of your firm. Might look at Timeslips (software package)

What is the difference between a professional degree and a masters degree?
Q. I came across an analysis comparing the amount of money people make with various levels of education, and there it was - the "professional" degree. What constitutes a professional degree, and why is it different from a masters degree? Are they talking about trade schools? Because the analysis ranked it higher than a masters degree, but lower than a doctorate. Anyone know?

A. Professional degrees include M.D, J.D., Pharm.D., Psy.D., M.Div., M.Ed., etc.

What should I wear to look professional for a presentation at school?
Q. My teacher said we're supposed to dress professional for these project presentations- it's part of our grade. So no jeans allowed. Do you think cords and a sweater works for being "professional"?

A. Yes, it works. Do you go to a school where you're allowed to wear jeans everyday? I don't think it's up to your teacher to tell you how to dress for school if it's different from your school's dress code.
