Where can I find a ghostbusters proton pack?
Q. My boy friend is really into Ghost busters and I would love to find him a proton pack for cheap!! : )

A. If you do find one, be prepared to spend at least $1200.00 for it, but that is only if it has lights and sounds, a basic one will probably run you between $650.00 and $750.00. (Reminder: The proton pack is not a toy!)

A. Nooo, they are just out to get some candy. Don't punish them for participating in a national (and now international) holiday Hunt them on normal days when they are not supposed to be haunting. Unless you find some sexy ones. Then you can suck them up and save them for later. LOL

Which do you think is larger? a) The total number of protons you can pack in the visible universe, or...?
Q. b) The total number of different electrical patterns the brain can produce? If the answer to a) is x, and the answer b) is y, what is the ratio of y to x?
Asked by Clam The Burnout - Wed Nov 14 10:10:46 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. x is reasonably easy; the D_now of the visible universe is about 40 billion light years, making the V_now of the universe (extremely approximately) 3*10^32 cubic ly. This works out to about 3*10^110 cubic angstroms, with a cubic angstrom about the size of a hydrogen atom. This doesn't account for the curvature of the universe which is significant at far distances, but I don't think that is going to matter. All I know about the brain I learned just now from Wikipedia, which says that it contains N=10^11 neurons, each connected to n=10^4 others. Therefore each neuron has C(N,n) connection possibilities, which is approximately N^n, or 10^(110,000) possibilities for one neuron. Even considering the fact that the brain is structured, such that… [cont.]

Has a singularity any dimension?
Q. It is said that a singularity (of a black hole) is infinite small. Is this really true? If you take a neutron star, there are all the electrons and protons packed together to form neutrons. Proton, neutrons and electrons are made of quarks. Are singularities made of quarks? If so, then even this singularity would have a dimension. There should be a surface on the singularity.

A. I dont think people are going to give them away, they are on ebay, the one you have you should keep it to yourself, that is your code, its not a universal code, you have just gave away your key, now if someone uses it you wont be able to, unless you have already used it.

What the world would be like if the technology from "Ghostbusters" was real?
Q. A. I worked on a real proton accelerator about 15 years ago. It was, at the time, the world's most powerful. It took up the whole basement of a large building. To eventually minaturize it to backpack size is more a matter of time, money, and engineering breakthroughs. It is not out of the realm of possible reality. The PKE meter is the one thing that is the most fictional of all that is Ghostbusters. To directly sense other dimensions from our own 3 dimensions (rather than to theorize it or to infer it through experiments such as CERN, etc.) would be amazing. .
