How do I send books straight from the publisher to a prison inmate?
Q. One of my friends who was recently incarcerated asked me to send some books to pass the time, but apparently they have to come straight from the publisher. How would I go about doing this, do I go to a bookstore and place an order there? Do it online? Do I mail it directly to the inmate, or to another address? He is at Oakland County Jail in Michigan.

A. I go to Borders and use their "Easy Ship" service, some of my friends swear by Amazon. You will want to call the facility and ask whick book vendors they allow. You send it to the same address as you send letters. I could gice you better info if I knew which state he's in, but if you go here you'll be able to get more details.
