Who is the most humble tennis player besides Roger and Rafa?
Q. I know many people will say Roger and Rafa so I haven't included them. I would just like to know which other player you think is humble, always has great sportsmanship win or lose, etc. :) currently on the ATP tour by the way

A. james blake? ive only seen him blow up like once or twice - after the gonzo match at olympics last year, i have never seen him so mad. but that is a one off, i think he is a pretty nice guy. fabrice santoro? he seems like a nice guy. EDIT: yes i would have to add in Juan Martin Del Potro, the 'gentle giant' as i call him. and yes ever since that roddick incident, djokovic has really toned down on the arrogance, he is alright now too :)

How do you compare Rafa's ascencion to number 1 compared to Roger's start as the top player?
Q. It was in Wimbledon when the changing of the guard happened when a pony-tailed Roger Federer outlasted Pete Sampras in 5 gruelling sets whereas it was also in the same historic green lawns where we saw the King of Grass uprooted by the King of Clay in an epic 5-setter just last summer... In terms of titles/tourneys won over the same period when these two tennis titans started out, whose path to greatness started more convincingly?

A. Well if you are looking for greatness, I MUST go for Federer. Nothing against Nadal, but Federer in his prime was more invincible than Nadal will ever be on any court other than Clay. On clay, sure, he is the greatest, I guess. But, overall he doesn't rank as well against great players. He just won one Wimbledon, aside all his Roland Garros championships. Also, he needs to prove that he can defend his titles all year and every year that he will be in his prime. I think this is where he will find it difficult. He is the best athlete that you can see on a tennis court but when it comes to greatness there is no question where Federer stands. Also, for people thinking Federer had easier opponents in his prime, do you even consider a… [cont.]
