Q. people say crying makes a person human. well of course it does because crying is a natural reaction we have in certain situations. dont get me wrong, i am actually a sensitive person and in a way i do understand the beauty of crying because it is the act of succumbing to emotions that are so strong. vulnerability is present. but then my logical brain says so what? laughter is also a reaction like crying except it usually is provoked by happiness. i just want some opinions... im sorry if ive confused you. thanks. I think crying is regarded as "special" in certain contexts because it really shows a person's vulnerability to their emotions. Even the most masculine guys or stiff adults cry sometimes because they are so moved. This uncharacteristic and uncommon act really brings other people to sympathize with them and makes them seem more "human" in the sense that they are also affected by emotions just like everyone else. For sensitive people, like you and me (I cry even in cheesy movies :'(...), it's not so special, but for those who don't really show their emotions much or seem superhuman strong or powerful it's unusual so it is a special reaction.
