Why is the condition of the Walter Reid Military Hospital no longer considered important in the News any more?
Q. I have noticed that the firing af US attorneys with the media has become the lead story, and no one hears anything on Walter Reid any more. Are our soldiers and veterans so insignificant that they can be pushed aside in the media in hopes people will forget about their plight? I am trying to find answers to this because I have read soldiers blogs from Walter Reid, and I can't forget. Will you? I am sorry *** you but you have ass u med that this was a political question you couldn't be further from the truth. I asked theese questions because I am a veteran (1879-1985) and I have been reading the soldiers blogs that are in Walter Reid on Military.com and it actually left me wondering the questions I asked. A. I think it depends on where you get your news. If you just quickly look at CNN.com or something else like it, you won't necessarily catch the follow-up stories. There are still plenty of stories making the news, in fact I just saw another story yesterday on the condition of a VA Hospital. Nothing (except maybe Anna Nicole Smith) remains in the headlines for more than a few days. We have insatiable appetites for information and the news media has to keep the stories rolling.
