I would like to believe their is a resurrection for good people?
Q. So why doesn't God just come down from heaven and say the bad people will not have a resurrection and the good people will so he can feel the earth with good people. Why isn't it more sure like a sign from heaven?

If the spirit goes to heaven when we die, why do we have a resurrection?
Q. I know that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord," but how does that fit in with the resurrection of his coming? I also know what it says happens to Lazarus and the rich man. But exactly what does that mean? If we are good, do we go directly to heaven or sleep until the resurrection? Which is it?

A. This is a great question and you are obviously a thinking person who wants a satisfying answer, not what most religions teach. We have to know what the Bible REALLY teaches. So first, you have to understand what the SOUL is. Gen. 2:7: Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul. (Notice that this does not say that man was given a soul but that he became a soul, a living person.) (The part of the Hebrew word here rendered soul is ne phesh.
