Within a set of mostly religious beliefs Revelation refers to the act of revealing or disclosing, or making something obvious and clearly understood through active or passive communication with supernatural entities (divine, ...). It is believed that revelation can originate directly from a deity, or through an agent, such as an angel. One who has experienced such contact with or communication from the divine is often called a prophet. Some religions have religious texts which they view as divinely or supernaturally revealed or inspired. Revelation or information from a supernatural source is of much lesser importance in some other religious traditions. It is not of great importance in the Asian religions of Taoism and Confucianism, but similarities have been noted between the Abrahamic view of revelation and the Buddhist principle of Enlightenment. Q. On the cover on Revelation he looks normal without all of the tubes. Im just looking for a little more info on his change of appearance. I think he mentions something about it in the game but want to know a little more about his new "tubes" and technology. Asked by Matt S - Wed Oct 1 21:38:55 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Well I haven't actually read the book so I'm not 100% sure, but in the game as you progress through the game you see him get geth upgrades and half of his body becomes robotic and at the end of the game spoiler for end, DON'T read if you haven'T completed it! You kill Saren once and then he gets revived by the Reapers and he becomes a full on geth/reaper. spoilers end! He does this because he joins the geth and reapers because then they won't kill him, but he doesn't realise that they're actually trying to control and use him for their gain. Again I'm not entirely sure, but that's what happens in the game! Answered by miserableatbest33 - Sun Oct 5 06:19:41 2008 Do you find the book of Revelation hopeful and comforting? Q. The reason why I ask is because even though it represents and symbolizes something spiritually in an abstract way and it seems to be somewhat violent, there are still certain messages in Revelation that I find strengthening and motivating, especially chapter 21 verse 4 I find very encouraging. How about you? What other scriptures in Revelation do you find empowering? Or do you agree with this scripture I pointed as well as any of the others? Asked by jackieblue - Mon Sep 29 16:30:14 2008 - - 22 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes, I certainly think that Revelation is a wonderful book. It is not always easy but there are wonderful chapters that shine through. The verse 4 you mention with 'God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; no more death, neither sorrow nor mourning, neither shall there be any more pain...' such a wonderful hope. God willing, we will be 'written in the Lamb's book of life'. Verse 3 of Chapter 22. And what few seem to take on board is that the new Jerusalem is not in heaven, as I have seen stated before, but it is a heavenly kingdom coming down from God. For Jesus, in his example prayer to his Father, said 'thy kingdom come ...' for it hadn't hadn't yet come. Which means that for people who thought that the Kingdom of God is up in… [cont.] Answered by hopeof kingdom - Mon Sep 29 18:22:36 2008 How is it that the revelation that a fictional character (Albus Dumbledore) is gay has made headline news?
Q. Come on! I love the books and the films, don't get me wrong, but when that's headlining your news it's a bit mad. What're your thoughts on this? Personally I think it's hilarious. I'm 16 by the way, not that that should matter. Asked by Ethereal - Fri Oct 26 13:24:18 2007 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments A. I don't think that JKR has an agenda, or is seeking more publicity. I think it speaks to the popularity of the series and the amount of emotional energy that fans have put into the books, that it became a big story. According to the story I read, she had told the writer of the screenplay for HBP that Dumbledore was gay because there was mention of a female love interest in the screenplay and she had to set them right. Having done that, she might as well have made it public, since it would have eventually come out anyway--she could control when and how it was done. and in any case, this story came out because she was directly asked if Dumbledore loved anyone. Throughout the series, we know Dumbledore as a tireless and seemingly single-min [cont.] Answered by WolverLini - Fri Oct 26 14:08:30 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "revelation" |
