How do I use my microSD card in my Samsung SGH-T629?
Q. I recently purchased a microSD card for use with my samsung t629. I can insert it in the phone and have it recognize it and format it. However, i have to push it deep into the slot and hold it for the phone to recognize it. there must be a way to have it stay in the phone without holding it. Does anyone know what that might be?

A. Plug in the USB cable into your phone and into your PC. Microsoft XP will automatically detect your phone. All you gotta do is just to do file transfer like a pen-drive.

How come the songs i download from my computer onto my micro SD card won't work on my Samsung T629 cell phone.
Q. I dowloaded the songs first onto Itunes. But when i get them songs on the cell phone , none of the songs work. The pictures can show up just not the songs.
Asked by The Best Man - Fri Sep 14 23:16:55 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. because cellphones have different types of files and itunes are different. check the file type and if your cellphone has different type file u will have to get a program to conver the file from ituens or mp3 to the file type your cellphone supports. its like if for example: your phone supports mp3 files and u have ituens or media player files it wont work on the phone, u will have to conver that file(itune) into mp3 file type to support. hope u understand wat i am saying and good luck...

how do i upload songs onto the samsung t629?
Q. I just got this phone and I want to upload songs onto it to apply as ringtones etc. However, I don't have that little memory card thing that is supposed to be inserted onto the side. Is there any other way to do that or do I have to buy some sort of chip for it? And if so, what kind of chip?
Asked by lamne - Wed May 16 00:35:32 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Your phones memory is too small to hold a large amount of data/songs. If it does accept mp3s you can use a data cable or bluetooth the songs across from your pc, but you will be limited. There is no upgrade to improve the phones memory, sorry.

A. Did you try a reset? (*2767*3855#) If you have a memory card back everything up to it before you do it. Also try to call your service provider they might be able to cover it.

How do I add ringtones/music to my Samsung T629?
Q. I'd get a MicroSD card but my computer does not have the card slot. Should I get a Bluetooth USB cord? How does it work? :(

A. Hi, The easiest way I have found to put files on a phone (including ringtones, wallpapers screensavers etc) is using Create Ringtone. You send files to your mobile phone by Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) or using Bluetooth infrared or wired connection. It has a 15 day trial (I am not associated with this software). It is alot easier than using cables.

A. To transfer MP3 files (via a memory card), from a PC, to the handset requires having a Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The memory card must first be formatted and the MP3 files MUST be located in a folder named "Music" in order for the handset to copy or play them. To transfer (via a memory card), MP3 files, from a PC, to the Samsung handset follow the steps below: Insert the memory card into the memory card adaptor Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader Connect the memory card reader to the PC s USB port Copy desired MP3 sounds from the PC hard drive Paste the MP3 sounds in the memory card folder named "Music" Remove the memory card from the memory card adaptor While in standby mode,… [cont.]

A. IMHO, you would have to change the GPRS and internet connection settings for the t629, the best suggestion is to contact cingular about it so they could send an activation code for your mobile.
