A. As a veteran Officer and military veteran, I can tell you with confidence that you would be better off earning a degree in English, sociology, psychology, political science, or international relations. A police department would rather have a well rounded and educated person, rather than simply a criminal justice major. The PD will teach you all you need to know about criminal justice in the academy. You're constantly learning law as a professional Officer so focus on learning more about people, cultures, norms, social factors, communicating, diversity, and writing.

A. I read that story this morning. I really hope they allow someone to adopt the dog even though they said it has bitten in the past but doesn't elaborate under what circumstances (perhaps the dog bit while trying to protect him?) Obviously the homeless man and the dog had a really special connection.
