A. Well i went through the same thing, but im a dude so im not sure if it's the same. What i did is i got over it and learned how to fight. I fought the dude that was giving me the bad problem and everyone was so scared of me that nobody messed with me anymore. For you i think you should be friends with some people like me and they will stick up for you. Or if your to scared of everyone tell the dean or the principal to solve the problem.

A. Sometimes I hate it. But looking back on last year, I loved it! The first few weeks of school feel weird b/c you're not used to it but later on it's all good. I don't like the first semester that much except for the 2 holiday breaks (thanksgiving and christmas!) b/c I think the 2nd semester is when really exciting and crazy stuff happens that you remember most.Idk, maybe its just me but the 2nd semester rocks. Probably b/c warmer weather and its closer to summer. lol. What else to do before school starts? Umm..well, I'm surprised you put wake up early b/c I always sleep in but waking up early is actually a good idea that I think I'll follow as well. A. School hours do not change based on region in Japan. Japan has unified education in the entire nation. Usually schools start around 8am and kids leave around 2pm. So they stay at school about 6 hours.

What schools in California have an orthodontist training program after dental school?
Q. How many students on average are accepted into orthodontist school? not dental school. What is tuition for orthodontist schooling?
Asked by rockin_it - Mon May 12 22:13:14 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you go onto the ADA's website and look under education, you can find a tool that will allow you to search by state and specialty the answer you're looking for as far as the schools in California. Class sizes and tuition varies between every orthodontic program...the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota accepts a class of 1 every year, other programs take up to 15 people or so...average class size is about 5 or 6 for most programs. There are about 300 seats a year available for people applying to become orthodontists, and about 1000 people apply for them every year. Tuition ranges from full-ride to 90K+ per year. Use the ADA's website to find the schools you would like to apply to, and go from there. If you are considering applying for… [cont.]

How Hard is the Juilliard School to get in to?
Q. I am a Freshman in high school and was wondering how hard was the Juilliard school to get in to? I know it's very hard, and I have only been playing the violin for 8 months, but have been accepted into my high school's 2nd best orchestra and have made much progress. If I were to practice very well and properly everyday for around 6-8 hours on school days and around 8-10 hours on weekends for the rest of my high school years, do I have a chance to get into Juilliard or any other very nice music school in the U.S.? P.S. I can also learn music at a very fast pace, and I also know how to play the guitar, piano, and clarinet.
Asked by Redfalcongirl - Fri Sep 21 23:36:24 2007 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Really really really hard. They have a 7% acceptance rate... especially for an instrument like the violin.. its very competetive, you'll have to be the best of the best. If you're really determined to get in you should look into getting private lessons now, and maybe audition for some local youth orchestras. You'll need the experience. Like I said, they only accept 7% of applicants, but if its really your dream, go for it. Nobody thought I'd get into the school I got into either... Also, something to consider - Julliard is a hardcore conservatory. If you go there you will live, breath, and eat violin, and do absolutely nothing else. They don't have general education requirements like other colleges, so music is all you'll do, which may… [cont.]

A. In MIssouri, you have to have your BS degree in education, then get a Master's in psychology (educational psychology/ counseling) Before you can get your position as a counselor you have to have a minimum of two (maybe three) years of actual teaching experience. BS in education usually takes 4.5 years MS can range in time needed, usually 2 plus the 2 years of teaching experience. Hope this helps.

How do I start a high school debate team?
Q. I'm a sophomore at a high school in the Seattle Schools District, and my high school doesn't have a debate team. I'm the first at my school to actually pursue the creation of a debate team here, but I have no idea where to start. No teacher at the school has much debate experience. I myself have little experience, and has never competed in a competition. How do I start a debate team at my school? What do I need to learn to teach others? What about the competitions?

A. -first, you need to find a sponsor/coach. even if they don't have a lot of experience, they have like conventions/info to help them. -make sure you have enough students interested -talk to the teams from other schools in the district -maybe try to start competing 2nd semester, not just like randomly in november or something.

What is the transition from home school to public school like?
Q. I'm writing a story, and one of my characters has been home schooled all her life and, due to her mother's career change, has to start public high school as a freshman. Does the curriculum differ? How does one adapt to the social structure of public school? Do home schooled kids ever feel "sheltered" compared to their public school counterparts? I would appreciate help from anyone who has gone through a similar transition.

A. I have recently made friends with a homeschooling family, and also judged a debate competition for homeschoolers and got to know some of the kids. Here is what they told me about dealing with the large groups necessitated by the competition (which is similar to school) and how they felt socially in other circumstances when with non-homeschooled kids. One girl told me that it was startling to have to deal with lines (e.g. for food at lunchtime). She wasn't used to being in such a large group that they were treated as a group, not as individuals. I found all of them to be quite social and socially adept. I asked about how they felt when dealing with public school kids. Several commented to me that they found it strange that public school… [cont.]

Q. I'm looking for step-by-step instructions here. Elementary school information is preferred. I particularly want to know how much the schools have to pay.
Asked by D. F. - Thu Jun 4 13:07:06 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. First thing you want to do is look up the show you are interested in producing. Maybe even just Google the title. If it's a play - try the Samuel French or Dramatists websites - they hold most of the titles. They will also send you a catalogue of their plays if you request one. If it's a musical - try Musical Theatre International, Rodgers and Hammerstein Library, or Tams-Whitmark. Between the three of them - they own most everything. Once you find the title you want - you can then usually request the rights to produce the play through an online form at most the websites associated with the publishers I have listed. They will also help direct you to "student" versions of plays and musicals, as well as specific plays designed for youth… [cont.]

What is the difference between a boarding school and a public school?

A. Hi Tony I study at boarding school before and a lot of my friends study in public school. for my own opinion i think boarding school is better then public school. because of the following advantages: Students at boarding schools have a better experience in high school than do students of a similar profile in public and private day schools. Students at boarding schools are better prepared for college and attend more prestigious colleges and universities than do students of a similar profile in public and private day schools. Student study in boarding schools appear to advance more quickly in their careers and are more active philanthropically. Hope this help Regards -- Eric

A. In some states, SCHOOL psychologists are the one (ridiculously unfair, in my opinion) exception to the rule that ALL licensed psychologists, regardless of discipline, have a doctoral degrees (among other requirements). The APA is beginning to take a stand on this (long overdue), however, so that may soon change. But as of right now, some states DO allow master's level practitioners in school psychology to use the legally protected term "psychologist". I wouldn't count on that lasting through the course of your doctoral training (assuming you are at the beginning of your graduate studies). By the time you have completed your training, that gap (i.e., school psych folk being the ONLY psychologist licensees which do NOT have to have a… [cont.]

After high school should I go to university abroad, then go to medical school back at home?
Q. After high school I would like to be a doctor, but I want to experience somewhere else in the world. So I was thinking I should maybe go to university to get my bachelors degree in California (I live in Canada) or England or somewhere; then come back to Canada for medical school and the rest of my life. Or do the opposite, stay here for the degree, and go to medical school abroad? Can you move around the world with a medical degree? And how much do you think ALL my schooling will cost? Including my bachelors degree and medical school? Is going to medical school to be a doctor hard? And should I take all three sciences (chemistry, biology, and physics) in high school? Or is that too much?
Asked by Ryan - Mon Oct 8 22:01:13 2007 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments

A. You've got to break it down---plan only a year ahead, mentally and emotionally. You do not want to get "burned out", and it's really easy to do these days. Just assume it will cost a lot, and be tedious, backbreaking, challenging work---you cannot do it all at once, so you shouldn't be thinking about it all at once. What's important in the long run is not only your final goal, but taking very good care of yourself (probably the first thing they will tell you in Medical School.). Don't worry about things you cannot control---but keep your basic goal in mind when you make daily decisions. Whatever you do, though, don't miss the opportunity to go to Europe for a vacation---it's an important part of life, that you shouldn't miss.

Asked by nickname - Tue Jul 15 09:27:36 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. There is a common misconception that a "Commercial Pilot" is the same as an Airline Pilot. This is not necessarily the case. A Commercial Pilot Certificate simply allows you to operate an aircraft for hire. Much like a Commercial Driver's License. In order to act as Pilot In Command of an airliner, you need what's called an Airline Transport Pilot certificate. So, if someone is a commercial pilot, that doesn't automatically make them an airline pilot. Is a high school diploma required to obtain your Commercial Pilot Certificate? No. The requirements are as follow (directly from FAR 61.121) Be at least 18 years of age. Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English Pass the required Commercial Pilot knowledge test.
