Q. Could anyone give me a rough amount it costs to attend a semi-private high school in Metro Manila? I have been quoted around P 20,000 per sem + some 35000 for the Citizen's Army Training. The 20,000 includes exam costs, project costs, uniforms, etc. Does that sound about right or is the person exaggerating?

what is the best computer school in manila?
Q. i'm currently living in the u.s. and i'm going back to the phil to go back to college. i also want to buy a condo or a house near the school. i was told that makati is a good environment.
Asked by andy - Mon Jun 25 01:43:12 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. What defines "best"? Mapua is good with hardware and networking. De La Salle is good with programming. DLSU-CSB is good with multimedia. UA&P and Ateneo are good with IT management. And i do not agree that makati is a good environment. It has the worst air quality and the worst traffic. Streets are a mess and so are the police. Its also hard to get around even for locals. Also, real estate prices are high because its a business central. If you can get away from Makati, do so, but it really depends on where you plan to study.

Will Ateneo De Manila High School accept a filipino citizen/permanent resident of the US?
Q. I might move to the Philippines next year with my dad. I'm currently attending Simsbury High School as a freshman. I am proficient in Filipino. BTW, I'm 15 and my arrival date there is going to be my sixteenth birthday...July 1, 2009. What grade level am I supposed to be in? Also, do they have religious preference? Coz, I'm not catholic, I'm a protestant.
Asked by X - Sun Oct 12 21:27:45 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You'll be in 2nd year high school or 10th grade. Your religion will not be an issue - I went to school in Ateneo and had classmates who were not catholic. You will need to go through the application and admissions process though.

Asked by aikon56 - Fri Aug 29 19:41:20 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. mostly spring break.. March or april. But you can also go around aug the prices then drops. Forget june-july or around christmas too expensive. If you are willing for your kids to be absent couple of days you can fly towards the end of May prices still low around that time. I went to Phil last year aug 21 and came back sept 6 my son was absent for a wk but it was ok i got some notes from doc in the Phil which was very easy to get hehe. Fare cost me $809 and $606 for my minor son w tax included round trip Philippine airlines. I went home this year June 25 and came back aug 7 cost me $1,296 and my son $972 w tax included PAL. Big difference! Goodluck and happy trip!

A. You can try Frank Provost on Jupiter in Makati. They have programs under CAS i think they are like 20k. Also La Salle school of Fashion and Design in Makati it costs like 12.5k. The tuition isn't that bad but you will also accumulate professional quality brushes, a variety of foundations and powders etc.. and also models fee for your projects. I did research on that because I also want to become a makeup artist. While I am waiting for a schedule for classes I am making an amateur portfolio and tying up with photographers and doing makeup for events and weddings for free.

A. Ateneo de Manila University would be your best choice. It is arguably the top university in the Philippines, and it has a good English system. You won't have a hard time adjusting, language-wise. It is a Catholic school and the students who go their come from relatively good family backgrounds. Actually, I think it's foreigner-friendly anywhere in the Philippines. LOL. But seriously, Ateneo would be accommodating to their international students. Please take a good look at their site. Good luck!

Schools in the Philippines. Is Ateneo de Manila High School a good school to send my son to?
Q. I've been thinking of where I can send my son to in the Philippines.
Asked by daffy duck - Wed May 16 03:12:02 2007 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Ateneo is well regarded. For foreigners who wish to continue their education overseas it would be preferable to send them to either the International School Manila, the British School, Brent School or the Japanese School. These are known by most European and American colleges so it would be easier for your kids to get admitted.
