What services and products can I add to a senior home service?
Q. What do seniors, typically over the age of 70, buy and use? What services can be added to a already existed home care service for the elderly?
Asked by Dan P - Fri Feb 27 15:01:30 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Anything that helps keep them safe and comfortable in their own home, from cleaning and painting right down to walking the dog and mowing the lawn. And yes even wash windows. Too many services just take care of the person , not their home. Maybe they cannot clean the oven, or change a light bulb. Or scrub the bathtub. Simple things that mean a lot to them.

Electrical question...What size should service wires be for 2 one-hundred amp services in a two family house?
Q. I ask that becuase NEC code specifies wire size for services according to amperage for single and multifamily dwellings...but don't specify if you're suppose to add the amperage up if you have more than one service...or the wire size that will accomodate 100 amp service will still be sufficient with another 100 amp service.
Asked by bookums20 - Sun Sep 2 23:42:34 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. this depends on whether both 100 amp services will use the same drop line or will have separate drop lines with separate weather heads...if both of them will be gang mounted with one service head then you will have to use 2/0 copper or 4/0 aluminum...if they are` both going to have there own weather head and services then you would only need 1/0 copper or 2/0 aluminum...plus grounds for both services...

Where can I do community service dealing with war veterans/people in the service?
Q. I need to do community service for school, and I am very passionate about people in the service (please keep your opinions to yourself, this is not up for debate). Does anyone have any ideas or know of any place that I can do the community service?
Asked by SUN vs. MOON - Sat Jan 19 14:40:15 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You can go to a Veterans' hospital for starters. VA clinics sometimes need volunteers, too. You could also go to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Many women who served in past wars live there and just love the fact that they are recognized. If you go to gun shows, there are usually tables set up where the VA give info out. Your best bet is to call these places and get more ideas from there.

How do IT service companies charge customers for service?
Q. How does an IT service company (a company that provides IT support for other companies) figure out what to charge their clients? I have looked for resources on the internet but have not found any. I understand many charge a retainer fee or service fee per month but how is this fee figured out? Hours, number of workstations or servers?
Asked by Rob - Thu Jun 18 15:48:25 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The fees are generally based on the number of expected hours of work. Be careful in your estimates and try to base them on prior experience and service records for your prospective client. Some clients have nice smooth running operations and don't need a lot of support on the other hand I have worked in installations where there were excessive breakage rates on laptops belonging to the sales people -- they averaged over one laptop per year per sales person. Good luck Jerry-the-bookkeeper

How do I get internet service via cell phone?
Q. I have one laptop. No phone.Need internet service and am willing to purchase cell phone service for primary purpose of setting up internet service for laptop. How is this done? How much dose it co$t?Whats best inexpensive plan?
Asked by HellWolf - Thu Dec 21 21:33:07 2006 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. This is very expensive. Verizon, Cingular and Sprint offer these PC cards. They will cost $50 with a 2-year agreement. If you want to do it without a contract, then it will be $200 for the PC Card. As for the plans, for unlimited data, it is about $80 - $100. I don't think the limited data is worth it, unless you do not plan to use it much. In addition, recently in press release, Cingular is getting UMTS (3.5G technology) set-up by January 2007. You will be able to get 3.5Mbps speed from GTOption's PC Card.

How do I properly ground and bond an Electric Service to a house?
Q. I have an electric service where the water pipe is 20 feet away from the service. I always believed that it goes Bond first then Ground Rod. That would mean the ground rod would be 20 feet away from the meter box. I don't feel right aboput putting the rod so far from the meter. Can I ground the service to the rod at the service and then do the water bond seperately by running a wire from the water pipe to the service panel which is closer to the water pipe?
Asked by David40 - Wed Mar 12 08:25:27 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. As a master electrician in kansas, i will tell you the code and this code is by the 2008 National Electrical Code, it works every where. The main bonding of your electrical service shall be bonded up to 7 times and the ground rod is the last way to bond your service. Im not saying it is the least desirable, it just so happens to be the last way it should be bonded it all other means can not be obtained. You should take a copper wire fron your electrical panel to your cold water line, use an approved cold water clamp on the water line within 5ft of it entering the house or before the first connection(coupling, connector, 90 degree) The other end of your bare copper wire goes under your ground bar screw. Then take another bare copper wire… [cont.]

What service can you think of that will make your life easier?
Q. If you can think of a service that you wish was provided, what would that be?
Asked by Mariposa24 - Tue Apr 1 22:25:26 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Mass transit, mass transit information and bike lanes *everywhere*. I would like to be able to walk up to any bus stop and be able to tell by looking at the posted information exactly what I need to do to get to where I need to go. I would like for buses to come every 20 minutes (three times an hour). And I would like to be able to ride my bike on any road safely. Actually, that's how it is here in Germany -- I wish it was that way in the USA. It not only makes my life easier, but keeps the air clean!

How many kilometres past a logbook service without affecting warranty?
Q. I have a 08 BFMKII Falcon ute which is due for a 15000k logbook service. How many kilometers past this service can the vehicle be when it receives this service without affecting its new car warranty?
Asked by xCaliba - Sun Mar 8 01:04:08 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I've always purchased an extended auto warranty for every vehicle I've owned in the last 7 years. In the beginning I used to get them from the dealer, but lately it's cheaper to get them from a auto warranty company. They offer free quotes, so it's easy to see how much one would cost for your vehicle.

Is there a professional resume writing service in the Nashville area?
Q. I need to consult a service that specializes in writing top notch resumes. I have searched using Google and have not found anything. I need a resume written for an executive, professional, or C-level position. If there are online services (or even a free service) that do this, let me know that as well.
Asked by Jonathan B - Sun Mar 9 00:28:15 2008 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments
A. My biggest advice is to NOT use those companies. They charge you a few hundred dollars, and honestly, they create the worst, hardest to read resumes, which will probably hinder your job search. I appreciate you are busy, but you will get that much more value out of just writing the resume yourself. In all honesty, the content of the resume is more important than the format. Regardless of how much you earn, you can still use a standard word template (in fact I would actually strongly suggest you do), with as little ruffles and lace as possible! Clean lines and not clutter. As content is most important, do you really think it makes any sense that you trust someone who has not done your job to write up your resume? Also, I see too… [cont.]

How long after court do you start community service?
Q. I was convicted of shoplifiting from walmart. It was only around 40 dollers worth of stuff but i have to go to court and do community service more then likely. How long after court would i start community service? My court date is in may but i am planning on going to florida in the beginning of june and am not sure if community service would interfere with this. Do i get to decide which days to do the community service or does the court?
Asked by toxic - Sun May 3 14:01:38 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The court will tell you when you have to start, and what the ending date is, or how many hours you need. Sometimes how long you have to do community service depends on how quickly you can get the amount of needed hours in, and sometimes they give you a certain number of days and months you have to do it. The court will tell you everything you need to know when you go. I doubt you'll be able to make your trip to Florida unfortunately. You'll most likely be placed on some form of probation, and hence will not be able to leave the area without permission.

What internet service is the cheapest with high speed internet that is wireless?
Q. Also, my second question is, is how is Cricket's internet service for your computer? I live in Colorado, if that helps.

A. wireless is not really an option here. just get home hi speed service and buy a wireless router for yourself (instead of renting one for 2 bucks each month) I don't think cricket service would allow for a comfortable internet connection that you're used to. as far as providers go? it all depends on whats happening in your area. I suggest cable over DSL though
