A. start with the smallest number it is divisable by besides one. This is how to do a factor tree. If thats what you want. All the factors are 1,5,7, and 35 35 __ 5|7 = 35 the middle thing represents a vertical line to separate 5 and 7. You would want to make it like a capital T. Without so much space between the 35 and the factors but i cant do it on here. Believe it or not...thats it.

Chick Lit? Good or Bad for young female readers...?
Q. What viable positive effects, if any, do you think chick lit brings to society? It seems that many of them focus on themes of jealousy, materialism, poor self image (without positive solutions). Examples are: The Clique series "The A List"

A. The most positive effect is that it teaches young women that reading can be fun. Sure, some of it is salacious, but reading is better than sitting around and watching TV all summer. Even the most vacuous books can help young readers increase their vocabulary. If all young girls read are the expository texts or classics in school, then they aren't as likely to develop a love of reading. Fun books help them to associate reading with enjoyment and not just school work. We want our children to WANT to read. Although I am not familiar with the books you mentioned above, many young women's books focus on themes that young women can relate to, which helps to stimulate their interest and lets them know that others deal with similar problems… [cont.]

vapor pressure of distilled water or pure solvent?
Q. Why is the vapor pressure of a pure solvent higher than that of a solution. Example- If I put a cup of tap water and a cup of distilled water in the microwave and wait till the tap water boils, why does it take more energy to boil pure distilled water? If you throw a grain of rock salt into the cup of heated distilled water it will boil instantly.

A. Sounds like you've got too much time on your hands to me! The ions in solution keep the water molecules farther apart from eachother on average than they would be in pure water. Therefore the hydrogen bonds are weaker and the water will boil at a lower energy level. At least that's what I'd guess.
