How do you find a sorority life member's id number to retaliate? Then how do you enter it?
Q. I'm trying to figure out how this member of sorority life has entered my id number and had all her sisters retaliate. She puts up a number which is evidently mine and I get attacked several times. How is she doing that?

A. She copy your id# from your Stats Profile, and post it on the Live Broadcast Board and got her Sisters to paste your id# on the url to go to your Stats Profile and attacked you.

What sorority in college is recommended to join?
Q. I kind of want to join a soroity in college, but I really don't know enough about them. Is it fun being in a sorority? Would you recommend it? If, so, which one and why? Thanks so much!

A. no... it is not "fun" being in a sorority. the experiences and relationships that you form are fun. being in a sorority is a lot of hard work and time... I never understood when i was pledging and my big sisters told me that pledging was the easy part... and I did not skate! now i understand. Make sure that it is something that you absolutely want to do. I would never take it back if i had the chance, but like the lady said before me, remember it is a lifetime commitment. if you are going to do it, be ready to fully commit yourself to whatever organization you join. as far as deciding which organization you want to be a part of... look at the ladies on your campus. check out the chapter history, national history, programs, activities,… [cont.]

How do i create a sorority from scratch?
Q. I want to build a sorority from scratch on The Sims 2 University.I know that you can build the actual building but with Bon Voyage you could actually bring up a box and type in hotel or something to that affect , can you do that with University? I'd hate to build a sorority from scratch only to have them use it as a house or something.
Asked by Tiyonna U - Thu Mar 27 09:31:10 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Forget the Bon Voyage stuff; building a sorority from scratch is much simpler. 1. Build your desired sorority on a residential lot 2. Move in a student 3. Have the student use the phone to apply for Greek charter 4. Your student's rental is now a Greek house, and other students can be invited to pledge. They can move in once they are members. If your sim cannot afford the rental, use a money cheat (press "control+shift+c" to open the cheat window and type "kaching" for $1000 or "motherlode" for $5000). If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

A. You're looking at an NPHC sorority correct? They will often have information nights if they're accepting a line. If they aren't having those in your area, your best bet is to get to know several of the members through classes or other activities. They may be able to give you subtle guidance.

How important is it for members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. to know a prospective member?

A. I am a member that doesn't talk a lot either, and I became a member, and not every member of Alpha Kappa Alpha is a social butterfly. Some people are more reserved and tend to keep to themselves and there is nothing wrong with that. Do your best in becoming acquainted with members, and stayed involved in your community. If its meant to be then it will be. Good luck.

What steps would help me get my Sorority recognized by the College?
Q. I'm party of a city-wide capter of a sorority. The college I attend has so far refused to recognize my sorority on campus. Our tenents include scholarship and service, and our sisters are stellar students and very active in the community both on and off campus. Still, the College refuses to recognize us, and this causes lots of problems when we want to hold community service events, advertise, or even hold meetings. We have had meetings with the Director of Greek Affairs at school, and even though we are not looking for a house or funding (just recognition and a place on the website is all!) we still haven't gotten far. I need some suggestions to catch the attention of the administration and finally get the recognition we deserve!… [cont.]

A. Maybe you could try doing joint events with Greek organizations that are already recognized on campus. If the university sees that you're accepted within the Greek community, they might be more willing to change their opinion. You could also ask the other Greek chapters to sign a petition. You could try involving faculty in some of your events. Host easter egg hunts or halloween parties for faculty children. Also, get a faculty advisor if you don't already have one. The more people at the University you can convince you're legit, the better chances you have. I'm not sure the University can stop you from forming a community service organization even if they do say no to Greek organizations, you may even want to try establishing… [cont.]

Do members of a sorority get to choose to help out with rush?
Q. I am an initiated member of a sorority, and my sorority requires all of the members to be at everyday of rush. We have to pay alot of money if we are not present or if we are late. Have you ever heard of this? I have talked to a girl in my sorority at a different university, and she gets to choose to be at rush or not.

Can I still join a sorority if I transfer to a college my sophomore year?
Q. I am high school senior right now and am thinking about going to the junior college for two years and then transferring to obtain my bachelors for financial reasons. However, I really want to have the best college experience possible, which for me includes joining a sorority. Will I be able to do that if I transfer my sophomore year?
Asked by happy girl - Thu Oct 2 22:25:24 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes. After I graduated from high school I attended a community or junior college for two years. I just transfered my new school about a month and two weeks ago. As long as you are an undergraduate, you can participate in rush week for any sorority that you wish. Being a transfer student or having been a student at a junior college does not affect your ability to pledge. If fact, two weeks ago I went to a rush party for a sorority on campus. I have been invited to join too. So far it has been a great experience. The only thing I would tell you to prepare for are the due and fees that you will have to pay. Depending on the sorority you join and how large it is will determine how expensive your fees and due will be.

A. Just like rec said, Panhel will definitely catch you. They run your information when you sign up for formal recruitment, or if you go through informal, your bid card will be run, and you will be "caught." If you weren't initiated, you would be able to join another one after 1 year, but you've been initiated so that isn't an option. However, you can join an academic or service fraternity/sorority like Alpha Phi Omega, Omega Phi Alpha, or something relating to your major. You will also automatically assume alumna status within your sorority when you transfer to a school that doesn't have your sorority. You can get involved in an alumnae chapter in the area. How much does it cost to be in a sorority at USC?
Q. I would really like to be in a sorority at the University of Southern CA, but cost is a HUGE factor. Do you think it would be super expensive to be in a sorority? Would they waive the costs a little or "make it work" if they really liked me??? I don't plan on living in the house.

A. It's hard to say what the cost will be for a sorority, because each sorority has different costs. Being in a sorority is a financial committment, so you do need to ask about the costs involved during the rush process. They should provide a breakdown for you of the costs. You also want to ask if the chapter assesses fees. My sorority did not, but some sororities do charge you a fine if you miss a meeting or event such as initiation. So you want to know up front if that's going to be something you have to deal with. As far as living in the house, know that some chapters do expect you to live in the house. Ask if there are requirements for semesters lived in, what the process is to live out. In our chapter it was expected that you lived in… [cont.]

A. Well you do have to do very imbarrising stuff for example running naked in front of the campuse or you cant eat out or meat. It takes alot to be in one. Most likely you get spankens from the team, and they yell at you.. It's very hard you can't just wake up one day and be like i want to be in a sorority today. You have to have mad love for what that is. you have to know about it. How you get in to one. You ask the leader and they put you in the initiation and thats when you get spaned in front of people and stuff or carrie their food. Alot of people have died from these obsticals and since you have to sign a contract your parents or whoever can't sue them. This is very seriouse, Choose whisly and good luck :)

A. I believe that the song you are looking for is called "Earth Angel," as also performed by Zev Boim and Susan Boyle. .

How do i find someone to write a sorority recommendation for me?
Q. I really want to rush this year, and i dont have any kind of legacy at all and i dont really know anyone who has been in a sorority. One of my friends told me that you can just call random people to write ones, but i dont even know where to start!! Can anyone help? A website, someone to send an email to would be great! Thanks so much for your help!

A. You need to find a sorority sister to write the recommendation. Ask your mother to ask her friends if there are any sisters for the sorority that you are interested in. I write multiple letters of recommendation each year for various girls attempting to pledge Phi Mu. You'd be surprised how many adult sisters you probably already know. *** Although sororities ARE fun in college, the networking that you gain for after college is invaluable. Good luck.

What are they and how do you get Keepsakes on Sorority Life on Facebook?
Q. It seems that Sorority Life has updated itself with this thing called "Keepsakes"? I somehow found myself getting the pillow, but what are they exactly and how do I get more?

A. "Now you can gather keepsakes to commemorate the big events in your Greek life, including everything from becoming a pledge and your first football game to that epic Spring Break trip your senior year. I don t want to ruin your fun in exploring the new feature, but here are the basics: Keepsake items will be awarded randomly when you complete events. Each location in the Socialize tab has a theme events in the House location will give items for the Pledge collection, the Campus location will give items for the Powder Puff Football collection, and so on. Keep completing events to get the full collection, and once you do, the House Mom has a great prize. But since the items are dropped randomly, you may get too many of one item. A waste?… [cont.]
