Q. Whenever I'm on the computer, the computer speakers start making all this hissing sounds right before my cell-phone starts to ring. They speakers also make a lot of noise right before getting a text message. Sometimes the speakers start making noise, but my phone doesn't ring. Then after a while I get a call on my homephone or cellphone, and people tell me they were calling me, but got no answer. What's the deal with my speakers? Asked by SwimGuy - Sat Jul 12 15:54:48 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. This is normal, it is called EMI, Electro-Magnetic Interference. Your cell phone is a transmitter, if it too close to your speakers/wiring, the speaker's amplifier is amplifying your cell phone's transmission and you hear it through your speakers as noise. Move your phone away from the computer. Answered by wombat_one_1999 - Sat Jul 12 16:04:40 2008 What speakers should i buy for my brothers dorm room? Q. Q. I have a Dell Optiplex GX1p with a Windows 2000 Professional OS. I installed an audio card and bought some speakers recently, but when I turn on my computer and the speakers, I hear weird static or fuzzy sounds, along with a less audible high pitched ringing. When I play music, they practically go away and are barely heard in the background. It seems to be only noticeable when sound is not playing. I have checked the connection of the card and the speakers, but I have no idea how to make the weird sound go away. Asked by mark f - Mon Nov 3 23:33:08 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. First, check if your sound card is installed properly. Next, try your speakers on a mp3 player. If it works fine, your sound card has issues. Return to your dealer immediately. But if the speaker has the same behavior as to when it is connected to your sound card, your sound card is fine, your speaker is grounded. Open your speaker up and check all the wires that is connected to the board (except the power line. Remove your speaker's plug before opening.) Check and see if any of the wire's solder is bad. Resolder them. Also check to see if any of the wire's is cut and touching parts of the board. Wrap the wires with an electrical tape (usually black in color). Or better yet, replace them. If the niose still persist, your speaker's tone and… [cont.] Answered by curious_being - Tue Nov 4 05:12:55 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "speakers" |
