Reports from the Chinese government suggest that maybe 400 people died in Tianamen Square. Technically, anyone outside the Square, ie the side roads or roads leading through Beijing into the square would not have been included. If so then why? Asked by No! Assuming they do however, you need to use newton's method. See: So, we know that 4 < 5 < 9 thus 2 < 5 < 3 So we pick a reasonable number, say 2.5 You then use an interative process using the newton formule, I will use a and b for a1 and a0 for ease of display. so b is your next estimate and a is your current estimate.
