When I start my vehicle with the command start, the heater blower motor does not start anymore. Why?
Q. I just recently had a new blower motor put in, and a few weeks later this happened. Now I can still start the vehicle with the command start, but have to go put a key into it for the heater to start blowing. I still have a few days left on the "30 days parts and labour" from when I got the blower motor put in and am wondering if it is possibly a bad install on that? Please help -its very cold here :) Thanks!

A. Are you starting it automatically, with one of those remote start things? If so, the remote start may have something wrong. A blower motor should either work or not work, if it has power, and is turned to the on position, it should go. If it used to work differently, you should have the blower motor looked at, maybe there's a crossed wire or something

When starting baby foods, is it true that you should start them with meats?
Q. I have always heard veggies and fruits. My son is 6 months and we haven't started him on meats yet because this is what we were told, but this weekend my husband was reading a pediatric association published childcare book that says to start with meats? Is this right?? Am I wrong for starting the other way around?

A. Oh, man... I hate baby food 'rules.' They do not, on the whole, make a lot of sense, and most aren't supported by research. I plan on letting my daughter have at whatever she wants to grab as soon as she's old enough, within reasonable limits... Anyway. Some good advice from Dr Jack Newman (NB: a Canadian -- as people've pointed out, here in Canada, the 'baby food rules' are a bit different) -- "When the baby is starting to take solids at about six months of age, there is little difference what he starts with or the order foods are introduced. It is prudent to avoid highly spiced or highly allergenic foods at first (e.g. egg white, strawberries), but if the baby reaches for the potato on your plate, make sure it is not too hot, and let… [cont.]

A. There are a few sites knocking around that allow you to sell your photographs... some are free, some charge a small fortune. Here's two of them: fotolia photostock+ Or stick them on "Print on demand" merchandise (though so far mine has sold a grand total of f-all) To sign up for your own store (if interested), here's the link: While if you want to set up your own website, complete with domain name, here's the place to look:

When I start my car it tries to die until i give it gas then it will stay running. What could this be?
Q. The car is a 2001 Chrysler Seabring. When i go to start up the car it starts up and then starts to die until I give it gas. What could be causing this? Also the heater just quit working yesterday before this started happening... Could these things be linked together?
Asked by ballapaul88 - Mon Mar 16 06:29:11 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes, they could be linked... I am thinking vaccuum leak. Your heater control valve is vaccuum powered and without vaccuum at idle and low rpm the engine will either surge or die.

A. You are not at all likely to get 250k from a bank at this particular time & it's probably not worth asking until about Q2/2009. You could obtain 250k equity from an angel investor perhaps, but you would have to have significant experience and contacts in the industry. To be blunt, if you are a senior exec who has recently left a major brand and have a significant redundancy package that you would plow directly into the business, then it's possible. However, if you are a 20yr old student, who has built a business plan from a template you downloaded off the web and think that it 'all looks good on paper' then I suggest you start talking to your friends and family. Depending on who you are, you could raise 40-50k to plow into the… [cont.]

When starting a story is it good to get straight into the action or start off slow?
Q. I'm just woundering because i am writing a longer story and it starts of kind slow-ish. it has a bit of a description and then gets into the plot. is this good? or do you ike stories that start with action?
Asked by Rupert Grint Girl - Fri Jun 19 21:01:19 2009 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If you start off slow, make sure that there are enough mysteries in the front portion of the story to arose the curiosity of the readers. If the readers can predict how the story will end. Most likely they will not read until the end of the book. However, you must give readers a clue that there will be actions ahead so that they can look forward to some excitements in the story. Example, a fight between two persons (good and evil) in inevitable. However, how did the good guys win the fight when the odds are against them is something the readers will want to know.

I want to start a delivery business but want to know: Where do i start?
Q. I want to start a business in a small, yet fast growing, town in Northern Virginia. Food delivery and such from places that do not already deliver. I'd also be open to running errands like picking up dry cleaning, running to the grocery store etc. The drivers would drive their own vehicles. Where do I start? How much would it cost to start up? What licenses/permits would I need? Best answer to the most information given in plain english. :) Thanks!
Asked by Katie Cakes - Fri Jul 11 21:26:25 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You should start a leasing business. Not much capital is required at all. You sign the contract with the pizza places or laundry or whom ever you want to work with to offer your delivery services and buy the cars. Make the contract for 2- 3 years. Buying cars does not require any capital as you can finance them. With the contracts from big companies you can even get more than a 1000 cars financed without any problem.

Location, Location, Location is VERY important to success .. not only do you need the right business, you need the right location .. Passion, YES .. you do have to work long hours but passion because you believe in what you are doing. The characters sort of grow on you, I started watching the show late in season 3. It took me awhile to get use to the momentum of the show since they use silences as punchlines at times. Since it is like a documentary, the characters will give their personal insights through their talking heads. How do you start writing a book or script where do you start?
Q. I am about to start writing my stories. I have quite a few and some will be novels some will be scripts but how do you start making books and scripts. Where do I start? All I have is the ideas I havent made up anything in detail with none of my stories. What is an outline what does it include And how long should novel and or scripts be?

A. A novel should be as long as you feel is right. Just write. Don't think, "I want to strive for 300 pages" because then you'll strain the story. I know a lot of successful authors have created an in-depth history about their characters. (Virginia Woolf is quite notable for this). So maybe use that as your starting point. If you have your characters in mind - create a detailed history. What I do - I don't start with an outline. I write several chapters - get the basis of the story firmly planted THEN work out the outline for the rest of the story. Have fun with it!

How do I start a defensive driving school and what do I need to know about starting a business?
Q. I've had an entrepreneur spirit for a while and I think I know what I want to do now. I want to start a defensive driving school on Saturdays. After that is established, I would start a behind-the-wheel class. I already know how to market the business. I think I need to start by going to the DMV and getting information and getting certified. What else do I need to know about this business and about running a small business?

A. Make sure you have enough insurance coverage in case of accidents etc. And maybe get yourself a good lawyer to handle any law suits that might be filed against you and your school. Good Luck with your new business. Remember location, location, location.

How do i start to work as photgrapher in San Francisco?
Q. I have already done some freelance jobs and got good money for it. But freelance is unstable and I was wandering what would be the route to create my own photography business. Should I start by contacting a pro and be an assistant?I wouldnt like to do so because I wont make any money, but is that the only way to start? Did any of you guys started like this or have some informations that could help me through this?I have good knowledge of cameras, i started with film but now use digital. Thanks in advance.

A. Getting an internship is the best way to learn the business. Internships are rarely paid, so you would need to have a job to support yourself. Another way to go is to open your own shop and do a lot of advertising. For both of those, you could continue your freelance jobs to pay the bills. And take some classes in wedding photography. That's fairly consistent work, especially if you are any good.

A. Share your vision with a few friends and neighbors. They will join you in developing a program that addresses the needs of your community. There are funds available once you are established through corporations.
