I play with a lady who is 80 and she is the most focused player on the league when she is hitting. Well, if you think about photosynthesis, it's the combination of water and CO2 in the presence of sunlight to produce oxygen and glucose (food). Xylem transports water through plants, and phloem carries the nutrients. So the "structure" is how the compounds get to where they're needed.
