A. Hey I get the very best value... I live here. Seriously, it all depends on what you're looking for. You want view, you pay for it. If you're not particular, it's a lot cheaper. You gots your choices from say 5000p to around 500p at Sunflower Hostel which is just up the hill from the city hall.

Best place to stay in Tagaytay Philippines?
Q. We are planning to spend at least a week in Tagaytay this December, where the weather is much colder to enjoy the place better. Can anyone tell me the best inn or hotel (other than Taal Vista LOdge & Days Hotel) or place to stay. Im going with my girlfriend.
Asked by sam - Mon Dec 3 07:46:22 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I suggest you get to tagaytay early. Bring a car and traverse the road and check in all the 'bed and breakfast' and Inns you can find. Normally they can give you the best rates. There are numerous along the Magallanes Road (going to Nasugbu), near the road. Usually the price 1,500 to 1,800/night. Normally too, the check-in and check out time is not that strict. They serve good breakfast too. Choose along the Buck Estate or those along the Nasugbu Road so that you are near restaurants. I can suggest MCMountains Hotel, Residence Inn, Royal Tagaytay..but you can find cheap but prime class bed and breakfast along the way. For your comfort here are some list: Club Estancia Resort Zone II, Brgy. San Jose, Tagaytay City Tel Nos. (046) 413-11-33 [cont.]

A. Here's what you can do. Drive down south past tagaytay to Calatagan in Batangas. That's past Lian and Matabungkay area. You can go to Punta Baluarte, an old-style (circa 70s to80's type) resort but well-kept by the Ayalas. They have clean and spacious surroundings with both fresh and sea water pools. The shorelines isn't really fantastic but in my opinion, there isn't much of decent beach shorelines in batangas. The views are great and food is decent as well. The following morning you can drive further south until you see a lighthouse. Its an old spanish lighthouse at Cabo de Santiago. Interesting and photogenic as well. Then head on back to Tagayay to relax some more and cool down those sunburnt skin before you head on back to the… [cont.]

I need a retreat house in tagaytay city that is affordable and can accommodate 70 persons.?
Q. We intend to conduct a team building seminar for our employees and we prefer a retreat house in Tagaytay. It will be a 1 1/2 day activity, most likely, Sunday and Monday, on April or May 2008. Please send me a quotation indicating the cost per person on room accommodation and meals. You could even offer me a dormitory type accommodation and a plated meal or any other suggestion to make our stay comfortable, yet, affordable.

A. Try visiting the Residence Inn Zoo, they can pet baby tigers there...or go horse-back riding at the picnic grove, they will surely have fun. If you can acquire a guest pass for tagaytay highlands, then that would be more fun not only for the kids but for the adults as well --- they have big swimming pool, animal farm, cable car, indoor & outdoor children's playground and most of all...good food! =)

A. were you going to or from tagaytay? if from tagaytay that's about 3-4 hours depends on traffic. that's about an hour and a half from tagaytay to balibago via jeepney, then from balibago (you have to get off at the balibago complex station), you take a van to LUCENA.. just ask around where the vans to lucena park, everybody there knows where it is. then you will pass along villa escudero. if you're going to tagaytay, i think there are buses that pass in front of the villa escudero gate, you can take any bus going to LRT buendia, just ask the driver to drop you off at TURBINA, from there, you gotta ask where the jeepneys going to balibago park, then get on a jeep going to balibago, once in balibago, ask the driver to drop you off where the… [cont.]

A. The best garden wedding setting will be Sonya's Garden. It is actually a little way past Tagaytay itself, but is still considered by visitors as part of Tagaytay. Its ONLY downside is that it doesn't overlook the lake. In fact, it is hidden somewhere where you would least expect a restaurant to be. The menu is fixed: salad with fruits as garnishings, bread and dips, and finally pasta. I am not sure if Sonya would agree to another item in the menu. The place is dreamy and is the best garden in Tagaytay. I want my garden to be something like that someday. I can host you and your boyfriend for a Sonya's lunch when you check it out. But if you should find my garden good enough, then you can have it for your wedding. Just get in touch,… [cont.]

Are there any high elevation towns in the philippines besides Tagaytay and Baguio where one can go to cool off?
Q. We're looking for some ideas for a potential vacation/retirement home where we could go to get away from the heat once in a while.

A. Majayjay in Laguna is not exactly a high-elevation town. But it is generally cooler (than Metro Manila) and is quite near so you can optimize your cooling off opportunities. Another place that comes to mind is Mt. Data, but then it is even farther away, from Baguio.

A. Since there are no direct jeepney routes from your town to Tagaytay, i think the best way is to go back to Alabang, across Metropolis Mall there you will see the "Shuttle" or van terminal going to different locations.Just ask the "Barkers" or "Dispatchers" for the shuttle going to Tagaytay. Hope that helped. ue

From Binan, take a jeepney to or shuttle to SM Dasmarinas. From SM Dasma, take a bus to Tagaytay. Magandang puntahan? Picnic grove. Masdan mo na lang Taal Volcano doon. You can chickenjoy from jollibee for your lunch. Pabalik? Take the same route.

A. the weather is pretty much the same as manila, though a little bit cooler. tagaytay used to be a lot cooler before (19 degrees Celsius), but it isn't as cool anymore. the temperature tends to be lower at around mid-morning, while the rest of the day is "normal" temperature ranging from 24 - 27 degrees. in some areas, it is windy and foggy, but once again, it depends on the weather pattern of the rest of the philippines (ex. is there a storm? is there a specific monsoon?) hope this helps. :D
