How does the body differentiate different muscle tissue?
Q. How does our body know to differentiate which tissue cells makeup bicep versus tricep muscles? Since the muscles are located at different parts of the body, and have different uses, how would heart muscles play into the equation? Or are specific types of tissues modified slightly by the body based on the location and need?

A. This is a very complex issue. The patterning of what goes where in our bodies (not just different muscles, but everything: blood vessels, veins, bones, intestines, organs, and so on) is done during development in the womb. The processes by which these decisions are made, and our body pattern decided is NOT well understood as yet - but there is a lot of research going on into the area. For an idea of some - try looking up the effects of retinoic acid on chick limb development.

when will i start to burn muscle tissue?
Q. I just got 7 lb dumbbell weights, and i am pushing myself to about 30-40 slow pumps. I also push myself a lot on my treadmill and abdominal excerices, and i am doing this to get rid of a layer of fat. However, i know that at a certain point my body will burn muscle tissue instead of fat. How long are effective workouts that don't burn my muscle tissue?

A. HI! I hope this helps. It depends on A)How much fat you have B)How long you lift weights C)Your metabolism Anyway, i think that you burn muscle fat or something, not the tissue. Also, if you start burning proteins, you are basically dead. Drink lots of water (it helps)/ sugar replacements (Splenda, Sweet N' Low...) Thanks!

How do you really use Tissue Paper to clean your bum?
Q. Very ackward but a common question for many asians. How does one use Tissue Paper to clean ones BOTTOM? Do you use water with the tissue paper or is it dry and smeared clean on the bum? Most do not contribute to cutting TREES ...all the energy wasted in cutting trees ...that then require WATER and other chemicals to process it to paper pulp ...to make paper ...to then go to the store to buy it ...all to partially wipe our @sses...as it appears you need to clean with WATER again!! A. Don't add water to the toilet paper it will tear apart, do it dry. Several times until clean. If you poop you might want to use wet wipes you will feel cleaner. Do Asians not wipe their @$$? I am confused.
