How do I add a logout button for vbulletin outside vbulletin?
Q. I've added a login bar to my vbulletin forum on pages outside of the forum. Logging in and everything works fine except for the logout button/ link. I'm pretty sure the problem is that I can't get the right hash for everyone who tries to logout. I see the code in the theme for logging out but i'm pretty sure it won't work because there are some other includes/ files i need for it to understand what to do. Any ideas?

A. if ur planning to totally customize ur own forum yes you need to know programming. however there are many add-on mostly free applications on the internet, some are offered by different web hosting companies as a feature add on which have the functionality of forums. you can use those and just customize them in the look, however you can not add features to them unless u know how to program. i hope that helps.

Is there a way a user can look up a posters IP address in a vbulletin type forum?
Q. Some forums show "IP connection" but not the address. I know the moderators and administrators can see the IP address. But a regular user can not look it up right?

A. Honestly, the best way to make a custom skin is to take an already made skin and alter it to your likely. Even if it is a completely different skin you will find that there is alot of similarities even in completely different skins. Take care! Brian
