I want to take the Victory Liner from Olongapo to Baguio in October. Does anyone have the Olongapo schedule?
Q. The Victory Liner website doesn't provide price or schedule for the Olongapo station. It would also be nice to know how long the ride is or if there is a better way to get to Baguio from Subic.
Asked by DeepSea - Mon Sep 14 15:20:26 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. victory liner's trip to Baguio is daily, there's no need for a schedule just go to the terminal and get a ticket and wait. they dispatch a bus every hour and they are following a time table. the trip will take 6 hours max.

A. First, by SLMEC do you mean, the St. Luke Medical Extension Clinic. There are actually two facilities - one in Quezon City and one in Ermita, Manila ( 1177 Bocobo Street ). Which clinic will you go to ? Is your medical exam for immigration to the USA ? Have a nice day !

A. If you were from Makati you have to drop at Baliwag Transit then cross at the overpass (there's also another Victory Liner located at Kamuning dont be confuse so ask the driver Victory Cubao, Victory Cubao comes first if your from Makati) while if your from Monumento you have to drop at the entrance. Victory Liner Cubao is located along EDSA Cubao. It is near Chowking and 7 eleven EDSA Cubao. For more info. you can visit at there website.

A. Right behind Victory Liner Terminal is the Microtel Inns & Suites, of course it costs a little high at PhP2,650 or more but the accommodation is as excellent as the Microtel Inns here in US. Other hotels which are at walking distance or at least 10 minutes (or more) taxi drive are: Prime Hotel, PhP2000 or more, located at session road, it's nice to have a room with veranda facing session road. Hotel Veniz, PhP 1,295, 3 star hotel, great accommodations too. Hotel 456, PhP 500-800, amenities and furnishings are far different from the hotels I've previously mentioned but I believe this is the most economical place for a one or two day stay. *All of the above hotels have bathroom inside the rooms and cable TV. Q. and how do i get to NAIA terminal 3 from the Pasay terminal of Victory Liner? Thanks
Asked by surely_maybe - Tue Aug 11 23:24:41 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. 1. From NAIA Terminal 2, take a taxi going to Pasay terminal of Victory Liner in Pasay Rotonda (there are no buses or jeeps passing this way). 2. From Pasay Rotonda, ride a bus going to "Garden", "Fairview", "Cubao", or "Ortigas" - all will pass by SM Megamall.

Q. If we say city operation, this doesn't include Victory Liner, JAM, ALPS, Viron, Genesis, etc. They're all provincial operation! City operation routes in Metro Manila are plying EDSA, Ortigas Avenue, Taft Avenue and Ayala Avenue (major routes).

A. Manrose. It's the purple bus that my colleagues prefer to ride in when they are coming to work basically because their buses are new and spacious. They have never had any accidents too. I just hate riding buses basically because most of our buses look dilapidated. Most are rejects from other Asian countries, either from China or Japan as evident by some notice in the bus written in kanji or in Chinese characters. But I've seen Manrose, even ridden it once. It's the best for me.

Q. Okay, so I need to get to Mall of Asia but since my car broke down, I'll need to take public transport. I'm from Pampanga and my friends told me to take a Victory Liner Bus to Pasay. So when I arrive at Pasay, what will I ride next?

A. Genesis or Bataan Transit were also going to Pasay. So, after stepping down on Pasay Rotonda ride a jeep or the multi-cab. Most multi-cab were MOA bound.

What did Obama mean when he said the problem with high gas prices is the speed they took to come about?
Q. And the Obama campaign's favorite one-liner is John McCain is out of touch. If Obama had gotten his way there would be no surge, the last American would have left Iraq last month according to his time table, and al Qaeda would be celebrating a great victory as it prepared to invade the US, Canada, and Europe with suicide bombers because we are proven quitters. He should mention this the next time he accuses McCain of being out of touch.

A. You have to excuse Obama's ignorance, he has no experience in foreign affairs or military matters The only *action* Obama has ever seen or experienced, is chasing his wife around her bed chambers. Obama being President is like taking a fry cook and making them the CEO of GM or Microsoft.

Fellow Filipinos: We used to be proud of what we do, but now?
Q. May I share my experience during my vacation last month. I went to Pasay from Olongapo via a Victory Liner with a banner: Pasay SLEX. I was surprised that they were charging an additional fee for the route. But when I saw the road, I said it was worth the price, for the smooth travel. Commenting on the remarkable road construction.. to my surprise, one of the passenger said... "Yeah, you can say that again.. it was built by KOREAN Contractors".. HuH! *donalev.. its not about the money.. I'm willing to pay any amount if its worth it... but when did we take pride of something we did not even do? in our country? *JL.. lol.. yakking?.. just sharing my thoughts brother..

A. Babby, most of the loans (investments according to our government) we get from other countries are not all currency. Most of it come in kind. Example. GMA goes to Korea with a road building project asking them to finance it. They will agree only if their construction company takes the lead, materials are korean made, korean engineers, etc. Of course we get the labor. Whatever the costs, the government will pay it back through our taxes. JAICA is another example. Local examples are BOT projects done in coordination with private corporations. To your question, "We used to be proud"... yeah. Used to.

"The Hard-Liner" By Jyoti Thottam in Time Magazine.Do I lie?
Q. "That lack of conviction has angered Rajapaksa's opposition and deeply troubles Sri Lanka's peace activists, who worry that Tamils may face even worse repression and hardship than they did before the war. Their original concerns for the protection of Tamil language and culture and self-governance in Tamil-majority areas are not even on the agenda". Advocates for press freedom, too, are outraged that even after declaring victory, Rajapaksa has not lifted the restrictions on the press imposed as war measures. On July 12, the government banned a popular news website that had run stories critical of the government after the war's end, and it has not yet found those responsible for the murder in January of a prominent Sri Lankan journalist… [cont.]

A. A lone voice such as yours is not going to change ground realities that obtain in Sri Lanka.I think that the UN and other world bodies as well as individual countries like India etc. are quite capable of ensuring justice to the Tamils in SL without you and I getting obsessed by the problems being currently faced by the Tamils there. The day is not too far off for justice and humanity to prevail.Take heart and be patient instead of working yourself up to a stressful situation.God Bless.

Do you think P. Diddy will ever have the same success he had with "No Way Out" in 1997-1998?
Q. All sampling and negative comments aside... Diddy had phenomenal success with his No Way Out debut album in 1997 along with the 7 music videos that came with it. Then he took a MAJOR nose dive with Forever in 1999. Then he reinvented himself in 2001 and achieved greater success than Forever but not greater than No Way Out. Then there was Press Play which was OK and now Last Train To Paris is coming which looks like it will suck. Before you mention Biggie as the main reason for why Diddy exploded in 1997, let's not forget that his first single with Mase Can't Nobody Hold Me Down came out a few months before I'll Be Missing You and that was blockbuster as well. Has he achieved success like that with an opening single since then? Nope. I… [cont.]

Hillary gives the GOP its best chance at being the party of change.?
Q. Hillary gives the GOP its best chance at being the party of change. The most interesting thing to come out of the umpteenth Republican debate Sunday is confirmation that the GOP is dying to run against Hillary Clinton. Like Don Rickles flaying a heckler, each candidate whacked at Clinton as if she were a pants-suited pinata. When they were done with their one-liners, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee deadpanned: Look, I like to be funny. There s nothing funny about Hillary Clinton being president. No, but there s something deeply advantageous to having her as an opponent. So far, the commentary about the Republican offensive against Hillary has focused mostly on how it reflects poorly on the GOP (those Clinton-hating wing nuts are at… [cont.]
