How much is the average electric bill in washington with using electric heating?
Q. Im going to be moving to washington and I noticed all the places have electric heating. Is it cheaper than gas heating there? I always thought gas heating was cheaper but then why would a place that gets so cold have all electric heating in just about every home?

A. I used to live in Everett, Washington and we used baseboard heaters exclusively except on cold mornings we would huddle around the oven in the kitchen cooking toast, It's mass cold in Washington! but gas homes up there ?expensive? I never lived in a gas home it was always electric... but then again Washington is big on Hydroelectricity... but it sure gets cold up there sweets! good luck and don't stare at the beatiful scenery all day long as I used to do!
