What are the requirements for becoming a lifeguard in the state of Wisconsin?
Q. Im planing on taking a lifeguard certification course in Wisconsin. What are the requirements and what things will we be doing in the class?

A. The class has a good amount of requirements that you must fulfill before becoming a certified lifeguard. There is the test you must pass that is taken from the lifeguarding book and then there are the rescue skills that will be needed in emergency situations that may arrise while one the job. The skills you learn are oxygen administration, CPR pro, AED administration, and different methods of rescueing different types of victims with different injuries. You must also be able to swim 500 yards using 200 yds front crawl 100 yds breaststroke and 200 yds choice between the two strokes. *This is the lifeguarding class provided through the Red Cross*
