What is the best way to market a great workshop dealing with life enjoyment in a small town environment?
Q. I don't want to use traditional marketing...the people I want to reach ...may not know they should be there. Great concept isn't it?? :) I am very committed to helping others understand we should be able to wake up every day knowing anything is possible. I have a great workshop to present. The concept can be presented to any age group, any social class etc ... because it is about the only person you will be 100% responsible for in your life...yourself. So...the workshop is ready. I just need to know how to market this workshop so weekly I can present to a small group of 15-20 people. Thank you for your time...

A. Good luck in this, it won't be easy, I have a feeling. I live in a small town, and city wide communication is one of the hardest things to do here. Many small towns don't have a local paper or radio stations, so you are limited there. I would suggest that you approach groups in towns, like school systems, larger employers, churches, and do a brief presentation. If your workshop is as great as you say, it should sell itself! One word of caution--don't assume or imply that because they live in a small town they are not enjoying their life already!

What color floor paint should I use for my workshop floor?
Q. Hi all, I'm about to start painting my workshop floor. And I'm considering going with a light grey colour (color in the US...). I want something that will reflect light in the area, but will also make it easier to find dropped screws, nuts & bolts etc. Would light-grey do the job? What do professional laboratories, garages and mechanic workshops use? Thanks. P.F.

A. battle ship grey. with a handful of sand mixed into the paint. the sand adds texture keeping it a bit safer. here's another idea. if you can safely install and find .. good place to look is a used store furnishing store. Explosion proof 4ft fluorescent light fixtures install them about 3 ft off the ground pointed at a 45 angle. it will light the floor not blind you *** I do recommend the explosion proof fixtures they are sealed from liquids entering they can take some abuse from impacts of tools jack handles

what are the things i should consider in planning a workshop?
Q. planning a workshop is new to me. i would want to make sure i don't overlook anything. we're planning a 2-day workshop, with some attendees coming from other provinces. i was asked to prepare the workshop mechanics/priming. but since this is new to me, i am totally clueless. i'd appreciate any inputs.

A. First, create an interactive lesson plan. Make sure you have enough breaks and spots were they do the talking. Also, don't forget to have food and accomadations.
